As the title suggests, your favorite player that:

1.) Never Played for the Cavs
2.) Has never made an all-star team

For me, it has to be Lance Stephenson. He's not good, but everything about him (on the court) is fun to watch. Lance doesn't dribble the ball up the court, Lance gallops up the court. Lance doesn't take a 3 foot stepback to shoot over a defender, Lance takes a 7 foot stepback, juking so hard that he is falling over as he shoots. Lance doesn't look where he's passing the ball, because wouldn't it be so much cooler if he was looking the other way?

He'd be incredibly frustrating on your team -- but from afar he is a basketball genius.

Who is your choice?

After a little thought......, a buddy told me there was a player in Sacramento who played point guard just like I used to back in the day. West coast games were tougher to view on tv then, but I found him to be a great entertaining guy to watch and I became a huge fan. Unbelievable that he didn't make an all star game (I think). Jason Williams. He had a skill set that made him unique and ahead of his time. Showtime.

Currently active? Probably OG Anunoby or (soon to be off this list) Scottie Barnes. All time, might be Anthony Randolph. I cannot get enough of my long, long, really long SF/PFs with incredible defense and sketchy shooting.

As a Michigan State fan I always liked Jason Richardson. High Flyer eventually a decent 3 point shooter. He was fun to watch. Oddly was never an all star but had a couple really good seasons for teams.

Also was a fan of Keith Van Horn back in the day. He was a combo forward who could score and shoot some. Not a great defender. Wasn't a good rebounder. But I always liked his game.

Not the All Time for me, but the current player I like the most is P.J. Tucker.

Back at the trade deadline of 2016, I wanted Tucker or Channing Frye. We ended up with Frye, but I remember people thinking I was dead wrong for wanting to spend a low protected first rounder on Tucker.

Tucker just signed a deal with the Sixers paying him 11 million per year until he turns 40. That's a hell of a run for an undrafted guy who does a little bit of everything.

I think this'd be Bol Bol. He's always fun to watch.

I'm a Joe Ingles guy. Receding hairline... Seemingly unathletic... Relatively solid player in all aspects of the game on a winning team (pre-injury/trade)... Can hit threes at an all-NBA clip... Good passer... Good shit-talking game...

Man, I would love the pre-injury version of him on the Cavs right now. He'd slide in perfectly as our SF.

I *think* my answer is Jason Williams (white chocolate).

What do you mean? Van Horn averaged 7 boards per game mostly from the SF position, and played in an era where centers had a huge advantage in rebounding because they only hung around the paint area.

KVH was a huge natural talent but never seemed to like the NBA. Dude retired when he was like 30 because he wanted to spend more time with his family.

He played mainly as a PF early in his career and had a career high of 8.5 Rebounds per game in 37 minutes per game. He wasn't a good rebounder. Also he spent about half his career at PF. Regardless he was fun to watch play for a while and was one of my favorite non all stars who never played in Cleveland.

Del Curry, Mugsy Bogues..

Not sure what happened with Del and his wife, but in Charlotte they both were stand-up in the community.. Del was possibly the least athletic nba player I can recall ( John Crotty for a minute) but he played with everything he had , and that Three Ball was money.

I think of Bogues, whenever I hear people say Colin Sexton is too short.. ( Colin is 10 inches taller) Bogues had a lot more nay sayers but man he didn't back down from anyone.. And he was just a nice guy. His team mates looked after him. I recall a game where a taller guard kept backing him into the post. After a few of those, Bogues is bringing the ball up, and Larry Johnson sets a pick for him at half court. It was like watching some one run into a lamp post. They stopped picking on bogues after that.

From my days of living in Portland, I liked Dave Twardzik. Helped
the Walton led Blazers to a championship and played dirt dog tough
ala Delly.
