Re: Z’s heart is in Cleveland, his agent says

And he'll have to wear No. 17, because the Wizards have retired his usual No. 11 in honor of Elvin Hayes.

If the Wiz waffle on the buy-out he should refuse to play unless they un-retire number 11. If they do then they really want to fuck us over.

I'm not gonna lie, it'll sting if I have to watch Z play in a #17 Wizards jersey. Like Z said, hopefully they'll just let him go home.

Re: Z’s heart is in Cleveland, his agent says

"Right now I'm a Wizard,'' he said. "I think eventually they'll let me go, but that's just my guess. They haven't told me anything yet. First I've got to go to Washington, and hopefully after a couple of days they'll let me go home.''

Let the Big man go...yall better do that..

"This is my team,'' he said. "I'm going to be mad, but not so mad that I wouldn't come back.

Re: Z’s heart is in Cleveland, his agent says

Okay; so maybe I'm not getting it. Why did he go to Washington? Did Dyce report to the team when he was bought out and back to Detroit? Nope. He didn't report at all I don't believe. Why is Z even there? What am I missing about this anyway? I don't get the reason Z felt the need to go to Washington at all.

Re: Z’s heart is in Cleveland, his agent says

Z better come back. We need him, any time Andy or Shaq get in foul trouble not having that extra big will bite us big time.

Jamison is a big. The problem last night was we didn't have Z, Jamison wasn't eligible to play, Powe wasn't active and apparently Jackson is the player to be waived if Z returns.

He has to report. Unless the wizards waive it, we can't play Jamison until Z reports and takes a physical.

Do you think he chose #17 as a shout out to pal, Andy? I really believe there is no way that he won't come back. I get really upset that people would even think that it's possible. Z IS a Cavalier. He's just undercover for a few days until he gets bought out and then has a nice 30 day vacation with his boys

I'm more of a follower on this site, but I wanted to share that my friend is on her way to Vegas right now. She called me and told me that she saw Z at the airport just now getting ready to leave for Washington :(

It already stated that in the cleveland.com article... he is reporting to Washington to take his physical and hopefully agree to a buyout in a day or two.

ultimately we will be in trouble if z doesnt return. sure we have a logjam at pf but we have only one center. simply put, andy, hickson, jj, jamison, even poe are not centers. we need a backup center if z doesnt come back. hopefully that wont be the case.

This team ain't complete without Big Z....

Z is the final piece for this championship run.

I cringed at JJ's extended minutes vs a playoff contender last night.

Oh I know that, it just sucks that he has to go through all of this. It sucks as a Cavs fan to see it happen, too. But it goes to show how much he loves this organization, that he's willing to do it and then hopefully come back just so that we can benefit with Jamison. Z is such a class act, I'll miss him these next few weeks, as I missed his presence last night.

Why are people even confused or speculating about this? He's coming back to the Cavaliers. It's allowed within the current rules, he wants to come back and there's really nothing stopping it.

What's with all the speculation? The result of this is pretty obvious guys. If anything the sentiments are nice, and it's good that the big guy can see how well loved he is in the city. But besides that, there's no point to questioning it.

He's not mulling anything over here. It's happening. Do people just not understand the loop-hole here? I just can't wrap my mind around not being clear on the situation.

JJ doesn't get that many minutes if Jamison plays.

Z and his agent, and the Cavs front office are all playing this as carefully as they possibly can.

They know they are under the microscope on how they all go about this because the NBA hates the loophole we're using and they want to close it. The NBA front office could and would step in and veto Z coming back to Cleveland if the slightest thing is out of order, including all appearances.

If he has to Z will suit up and play for the Wizards so the whole thing is beyond reproach and no-one can make accusations of this being a sham to exploit the loophole.

This is the only smart way to play it out because of the intense level of scrutiny that exists now, more than it has in previous years.

The loophole will surely be closed in the next CBA, and Z might be the last player to ever be traded and bought out only to return to his original team.

If Shaq gets into foul trouble, Z is getting minutes.

Good example will be Sunday and a week from today.

Bos and Orl are teams Z will absolutely get 15-20 mins vs.
