Z out 2-4 weeks

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
As Max said earlier today, both Z and Delonte were seen at the Clinic today. We can probably expect an update during the pre-game. Or I could just lose my job and look up their medical records right now. :chuckles:

It's tempting, trust me I know. I'm just going to rely on our insiders here at RCF.

Z was out of state today for his. Boot is off. As Ben said, he can start rehab.

I'm sticking with my prediciton of the Toronto game for Delonte's return.

not to sound dumb or anything, but by "rehab" you mean he can start practicing ???

Not team practices yet. He'll skip west coast trip and start working out with trainers here for a week. Then start practicing with team when they get back. A guess would be the Sacramento game after they get back if everything goes okay.

Good to hear ....I'm hope Z can be back vs The Magic at the earliest.

Good news on Z. Cavs badly need him back. The lack of offense from the C and PF positions is glaring hole now. Varejao has provided little the last 3 games.

Again, the vague "basketball activities", but the very positive "next week" :) :) :)

After the devastating news broke about guard Delonte West, the Cavaliers received some encouraging news on center Zydrunas Ilgauskas.

The 7-foot-3 center, who has been sidelined since Jan. 2 with a sprained ankle and a chipped bone in his left foot, visited Dr. Mark Myerson on Friday in Baltimore at The Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center.

It was Myerson who performed the reconstruction surgery on Ilgauskas' left foot several years ago. Ilgauskas and Cavs team doctor Richard Parker flew to Baltimore for a checkup.

It was determined that Ilgauskas could resume basketball activities next week.

Thats good to hear about Big Z. Lets hope he doesnt take things to fast.

People may mock his mobility and awkwardness, but the fact is a massive presense on both ends. His size, talent and IQ make up for any lack of athletisism. Very underated X-Factor.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas cleared to begin rehab

"When all the doctors were done consulting and the MRI scans were all digested Friday, the Cavaliers were left with good news and bad news on their two missing starters.
Guard Delonte West got his tests at the Cleveland Clinic and his MRI confirmed the nondisplaced fracture in his right wrist he suffered Thursday in Chicago. He will not need surgery, but the Cavs will likely be without him for five to six weeks, or until after next month's All-Star break. Though not unexpected, that served as the bad news of the day.
Typically, wrist injuries like West's need about a month to heal before rehab work can begin, which is how the Cavs' doctors likely constructed the timeline. Earlier this season, Cavs rookie Darnell Jackson missed just over a month with a similar injury.
The good news came from Baltimore, where center Zydrunas Ilgauskas traveled to be seen at Mercy Medical Center by renowned foot specialist Dr. Mark Myerson. It was Myerson who saved Ilgauskas' career eight years ago by rebuilding his left foot after multiple breaks. After taking a look at a fresh MRI of Ilgauskas' left ankle fracture, Myerson cleared Ilgauskas to start rehabbing next week.
If there are no setbacks, there is a good chance Ilgauskas could be back by the end of the month.
For the first time Friday he was out of his walking boot as he missed his seventh consecutive game and 10th overall since injuring the ankle Dec. 10.
Guard Sasha Pavlovic made his first start of the season in place of West against the New Orleans Hornets on Friday night. Pavlovic has started for spurts in each of his five seasons with the Cavs and has been inconsistent. Cavs coach Mike Brown made the decision in part to keep his rotation in some order and keep guards Daniel Gibson and Wally Szczerbiak coming off the bench."

When Z comes back it will help so much well Delonte is out

Man if we can maintain the number 1 seed without West and Z then other teams better be scared for when they get back

By "basketball activities". the dr. means Z is cleared to sleep with strange women in hotel rooms, hang out with rappers at the strip clubs and get caught for a dui. Lets hope he can rehab soon too. :chuckles:
