2018 Browns Free Agent Thread

Oh, he didn’t tackle JT Barrett...

Joke man, joke. --> :chuckle:

Seriously tho, I saw your comment about Kindred and Peppers developing, and I know we all have questions about the weird scheme, but do you believe either of these kids are promising enough not to look at a guy like Reid?

I'm glad they addressed FS with Randall, good start. But watching this team get torched deep week after week by bad teams like the Colts with backup QBs playing was brutal, and I still feel like the back end could use a boost.

Reid isn’t really an in the box safety who would be playing their position, IMO.

Give me Hurns over Pryor. he would be a great signing and he complements our receiving group really well.

Would easily take him for the right deal.

Signed a big $10m/yr deal after his big '15 season (1000yd/10TD) then past 2 seasons had a combined ~950yds/5TD's and missed 11 games.

Still only 26. 6'3".

Way better of a deal than signing what someone like Watkins got.

Here is an updated recap on the Browns financials:

I really like his role. He knows he's not a #1 and he compliments what we have well with his size and skill.

Unless the Browns are going to cut Corey Coleman, there's very little chance they spend any significant money on a WR that would be battling Coleman for WR3/WR4.

Allen Hurns and Eric Decker won't command significant money.

But will they come here to battle for a WR3/WR4 spot or go somewhere else that is either...

1. A better team
2. A place they can put up bigger numbers in hopes of getting a bigger contract next year.

Highly unlikely guys like them would want to come here to battle for a spot IMO.

Decker is done. Wouldn’t hate Hurns but I’d still prefer Pryor.

It will be interesting to see what Hurns and Pryor get in terms of money. I think Pryor is going to be the cheaper option. Hurns is entering his prime years while Pryor will be exiting it. For the Browns, either one would be a luxury at the moment. I would give Pryor a 5 million dollar offer with a team option for next year.
