Couldn't even get on the court in the 2nd half.... Trade him.

I heard Jose Calderon and Jarret jack are available.

perhaps he could net us Ish Smih, Ty Lawson or Brandon Jennings or Patty mills
I don't get these kind of posts. The people critical of him have never once suggested something so ludicrous. LeBron James right now is playing at god tier level. Kyrie Irving needs to show up; he just does. He's been absolutely dreadful the first three games overall.

Perhaps it was a parody of the Kevin Love Treatment.
perhaps it was an inquiry to see how extreme peoples criticisms were.
Perhaps I really want Irving gone for Tyler Johnson.
or perhaps it was a facetious post not intended to be analyzed.

He averaged 30 on 50% FG in the first 2 games.

'dreadful'

Pretty sure Ty will respond by saying Irving's poor defense was the reason our overall defense was bad the first 2 games.
He needs to play better for us to win a title: hopefully the team's not hiding an injury that will make it difficult for him to step up like he did last year

And saying that doesn't make it true. Was he the one guarding George?

Teague was 3-10 from the field in game 1, and Ky had 2 key steals in the last 5 minutes of the game that were essential.

whatever you say about kyrie, his shot making is a big part of our teams identity and its vital

I think Kyrie is injured. He doesn't look right to me, this week off will do him good.

This bugs me. Is he? Is it just soreness and inflammation that he's had to deal with on occasion, or something he tweaked late in the season that hasn't had time to settle down…

If the former, maybe the week off will help him "reset". If the latter, who knows. Any series that goes deep has the potential to expose a diminishing Kyrie. And that's not compatible with a repeat.

Why does he have to be injured maybe he's just going through a bad stretch. Or he's tired and this rest will do him good. Jeff Teague isn't a good defender, next round he's gonna have to deal with either Lowry or Delly on D, so hopefully he gets his shit together a little bit better. Get that 3 going

Because he just doesnt look right, hes got no lift on his layups which is why hes using the floater more, and hes got no lift on his threes.

He will be fine. Plenty of time off and practice time coming. Lowry is not a good defender Either. I doubt the Bucks win at this point but we'll see.

Because Kyrie himself has said his knee is still bothering him. He said that in the regular season at the end of the season, but, being a realistic you'd have to suspect it might still be causing him issues.

That's not an excuse for his poor play.

He got blocked by Teague twice on his jumper. Teague can't defend worth shit and is 6-2 (smaller than Kyrie). Where he clearly got very little to no lift at all on those jump shots. That's concerning to me.

Laughing at the notion that Delly would be able to stay in front of Kyrie....

Agree. Also, instead of facing up his defender and hitting him with the barrage of crisp Uncle Drew moves we all know and love, it looks like he's relying more on backing his man down, taking turnaround fadeaways. That's the kind of thing players do when they get older and no longer have the burst they once had, except he's not old. His knee has to be a factor.

Thankfully he has one week off. However, Kyrie's foot bothering him two years ago, and even with a week off it continued to nag him the following rounds.

I'm just crossing my fingers it's not deja vu again. Luckily, I don't think he has looked that hobbled though compared to two years ago, where he'd evidently was limping.

I've not seen Kyrie bothered to that extent.

Kyrie's days of playing ball in the summer should be over though, hopefully.
