Building the right way?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I still would like to know when people were asking for Andy to be cut? Waive, relased cut, either way you are not getting anything for him.

The comment of mine you're trying to pick apart was meant as a sarcastic retort to your attempt to generalize all non-tankers ... but apparently it went over your head. I'm sure I *could* find quotes from members of the tank squad who wanted to see Andy gone for whatever we could get no matter how crappy, but you're just evading supporting your own statement.

If you feel insulted, that I dont agree with you, and I dont give in to your logic, I am sorry but I am entitled to my opinion.

No, I think it's BS that you constantly invent strawmen and then invoke your own strawman in declaring other posters on this board are idiots. This has nothing to do with opinion.

You also never addressed the dysfunctional comment, but I dont really care at this point.

Obviously I have not because you never quoted whatever it was you think I said. I do believe the team is playing at a dysfunctional level at the moment, but that still doesn't look like it's going to be enough to catch the teams which have been playing at a dysfunctional level all season.

I just dislike the fact that you never admit when you were wrong. Case in point when you called Irving a "rich man's Gibson" and then denied it for pages when people called you out on it.

I've admitted when I was wrong, but unless you can read minds I'm not sure why you're still trying to insist you know better what I was thinking than I do.

Since I am human, I have been wrong several times, and I am not in denial about that.

Do you even care about trying to be right? That's the issue.

Perhaps, I am too hard on the people that wanted to win as much as possible, I get it, but I am still convinced winning games was never the goal of the organization this year, and I think that is the right approach for the 1st year of a rebuild

The problem is you want to paint everyone who disagrees with you with the same brush. For instance, just because I want *my* team to win every game they play, doesn't mean I think we should have signed veterans just to increase wins. Increase our picks and young assets? Sure. Provide veteran leadership? Absolutely.

You hate being wrong, which is fine. The reality is, your opinions and thoughts are not always right, and it would be nice if you could acknowledge that from time to time.

No, I don't hate being wrong ... I try not to be wrong.

You should try it sometime...

To reacp
,1. Still no proof any us tankers were asking for Andy to be cut (you say it was a sarcastic comment and that the same time say you could easily find quotes to prove people would get rid of him for nothing. So I guess you are still debating your answer.
Also, Ofcourse, not all people that wanted to win, also wanted to add a vet. There was a mix of opinions on both sides of the issue. Looking back, I do not recall calling anyone an idiot. It was never a personal attack, I just never understood the logic of not using this year as a true rebuild "and called tying to win now" luncay.Maybe, that was too strong of a term. but it was never a personal attack to anyone specific. I f people were offended, I am truly sorry.

2. We are now a dysfunctional team (organization) but we were not at the start of the year because we are now losing games. Okay, I dont think we are dysfunctional but void of NBA talent, and full of injuries, and players who have it a wall. On top of that we are playing guys who are trying to prove they simply belong in the NBA. Hudson, Sloan, Harris. Not dysfucntional, we are just not very good.
I guess OKC was once dysfunctional to a few years back? In that case I hope you are right!

3, You have admitted you were wrong before, ( I am sorry, if that is true. I just have never read you say that before)

Will both of you please stop arguing? This is some of the shittiest dialogue I've seen on these forums.

SO MUCH HOSTILITY!!!

SO let's flip the script. Let's say you are a Milwaukee Bucks fan right now:

Your team is fighting and scrapping to be the #8 team and make the playoffs. You traded your star center who should be in his prime because he is hurt this season. In return, you have a young big who has a future as a third big man and an undersized yet overpaid combo guard. Both players are good enough to be on the bench of a decent contender, but they are now starting for your eighth place team.

You have a deep team, but no star. Supposedly your best player is Jennings, but he openly looks forward to free agency. Your two best forwards, Carlos Delfino and Illyasova, are going to be free agents. Both have an eye on other destinations because your coach yanks around playing time willy-nilly.

All that said, you still have a mid first rounder coming your way, which could get you another rotational player in this deep draft.

How do you feel about your anti-tank season?

I'm mad and automatically become a Cavs fan.

But still, you have to feel good about that core group of 30 year old Drew Gooden and 31 year old Mike Dunleavy. Add Ellis at 11 million a season and you have a foundation for your franchise.

I think they're better off doing a sign and trade with Ilyasova. He's an above average player but he's gonna command big bucks and if their money is tied up in Jennings, Ellis and Ilyasova, that's not something I'm looking forward to if I'm a Bucks fan.

I usually build my homes on a foundation of sand and rotted wood.

Hypothetical, if the Cavs land the #1 pick and select Davis, do they go balls to the wall to acquire MKG, Barnes, Rivers, Beal, or Lamb. I'm talking AV/Gibson/TT/Lakers pick/Sac Pick/2nd rounders/Cavs 2013 unprotected pick/Take on shitty contracts . Some Combo? Would it even be realistic? Could we get a deal done if we wanted to move back into the top 10?

If we could get Davis and a solid Wing, we'd still suck next year maybe be an 8th seed, but we'd have our young core and they'd have time to grow together.

If I was a Milwaukee fan... I'd probably be frantically trying to find a cancer patient or something to send to the draft lottery with the 12th best odds. Or I'd be drinking heavily and saying go Brewers.

but they are almost in the playoffs which would give them a match-up with chicago!! don't you see how great a spanking would be for the development for their young players?!?

in all seriousness, i'd probably ditch the team until some competency was displayed by the front office. not much point in supporting a team that is going nowhere because those running it are clueless

i don't think it's very realistic, esp from the cavs point of view.

personally i have no problem going "balls to the wall" because most of that list is useless/not worth much. unnecessary too, in the case of thompson, with the selection of davis.

I'm thinking at least we don't suck as much as the Cavaliers?

Don't be too quick to gloat: the Bucks have had the #1 over all pick, they've had the 8th pick (twice), the 6th pick, and a couple of 10th picks ... and a near .500 record is their reward.

We've got a long way to go ...

Uhhh. That Milwaukee Buck fan thought left a nasty taste in my mouth. If I had to root for Jennings as my best player....

Just... Just no.
