Zydrunas Ilgauskas Jersey Retirement Celebration

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I never said the lie itself discounts the entire article.what the lie does is weaken the article's credibility. There are other things in the article which I dislike but I didn't feel the need to add because they are just my opinions.

You have already personally attacked me and I don't feel you are operating in good faith. Now you have put words in my mouth.

But he only told one lie and it was a really long article!

It's like 98% lie free. That is an A+.

You came at me indirectly. That's why I said what I said. My fault though.

Also, by you saying what you said above (bolded) I thought you were implying that the one lie he told discredited the entire article. If that isn't what you were trying to say then I misunderstood.

Yes...I miss Delonte

Have ticket prices ever been higher for a game with two shitty teams?

Upper deck seats behind the baskets were going for 100/ea on Ebay/FlashSeats today. Ridiculous.

The most disturbing part to me was the thought that door slammed shut on Lebron's return when Grant was fired.

He was cheered.

Exactly... every other Miami player was heavily booed and Z was cheered. I was reading through these posts and couldn't believe some people here apparently didn't remember this. Z was not "booed out of town". That's not even an exaggeration, it's a flat out lie, and it suits no purpose other than to make Cleveland look bad by ignoring the respect that we DID show Z, even there, coming back to town with our hated enemies. Now, were people unhappy he signed with Miami rather than some other contender? Yeah. I was too. But I wasn't booing the man. It's not like he turned us down, either. We made no attempt to re-sign him that offseason. Z also decided to leave in a classy way with that full page ad thanking the fans here, rather than taking a shit on the city on the way out like LeBron did.

It's clear that ESPN wants to push the agenda that we are basically sucking up to LeBron by doing this retirement ceremony for Z, when it has nothing to do with him at all. Note how they also imply that the reason we hired Z to work in the front office was to placate LeBron and not because we actually value Z's work. I really wish LeBron would have stayed away tonight. Now it has to be about him instead of about the guy who really deserves it - Z. It makes me sick. I hope anyone who is there tonight will do the same thing as fans did in that video: cheer Z and boo LeBron.

It was cool of Delonte's boss to give him the day off, Saturday is always busy at Home Depot.

The most disturbing part to me was the thought that door slammed shut on Lebron's return when Grant was fired.

I wondered why the franchise supported a five year plan and fired the mastermind 4 1/2 years into it. Plenty of people outside of Cleveland have. Since the players clearly approached their careers a little more professionally after Grant was dismissed, people haven't been vocal in questioning the move until now.

Fuck ya!!

Delonte just walked into the party. Getting mobbed for photos. Great crew here.

Ira Newble sighting.

Here's my problem with the article - he's choosing to take the focus away from what this is really about...Z. Windy's painting this picture of this master manipulation to woo Lebron back, and how it's all back-fired. But truly it is about Z wanting his close friends, family, and teammates back together to help him celebrate this accomplishment. If we would've scheduled it during the time the Heat is here people would've made a big deal about it too. There's nothing wrong with Z/Cavs back in October making sure the people that are nearest and dearest to Z could be there with him. It seems like a cynical perspective, not solely based on accuracy. I've come to expect so much more from Windy - this read to me much more like a Woj article, which generally contain kernels of truth written with an agenda. Perhaps Windy is still hurt that he got so maligned? Who knows, but all the negativity is just annoying.

Ira is the coach for the Austin Toros, feeder team for the Spurs. He was coaching up the Canton Charge beforehand, teaching those Hank Egan defensive principles...

Again, this goes back to Pat Riley vs Dan Gilbert. Gilbert paid 400,000 to have a family guy cartoon made for LeBron that mocked Pat Riley's cheesy hair style.

Riley doesn't have to say a word, he simply drops on the table a ring clip, with 5 championship rings on it, and the sight says everything, no words needed, no promises needed.

Windy being away, has seen what clowns we have over here. Miami was Windy's first championship seen up close.

But please notice the differences in style between Riley and Gilbert. Riley says nothing and achieves everything. Gilbert talks a whole lot, and achieves absolutely nothing in basketball. Gilbert has maybe 1/16th of the basketball knowledge that Pat Riley has, yet Gilbert is the louder of the two mouths.

It's probably because Dan is successful in so many other areas, but this is one area where he has no expertise, only dollars. For a man who is willing to spend so much money, he should have been able to get a high-profile coach in here by now, 8-9 years later.

Nope, he falls for Mike Brown, again. He makes the same mistake twice. Ouch!

God, a kick square in the testicles would feel better than the feelings I'm feeling inside right now.

You really couldn't ask more of an owner, in terms of willingness to spend, but Dan has done nothing but get himself into trouble by opening his mouth when he should be quiet. The letter after the decision was warranted, James took advantage of Gilbert, and owed him at least a courtesy phone call. I can see why Dan was heated, but Gilbert's shenanigans carried on through the lottery, the season ticket holders meeting. He thought bringing Mike Brown back was going to bring back that winning culture, and that's simply not the case. Ever think that winning culture was because the best player in the world was on your team and he demanded winning?

We'll never give James the credit he deserves, and we'll also never give Brown the scrutiny he deserves, because it was James that brought him success.

Those were pretty great teams we had, but ultimately Mike Brown's lack of in-game awareness failed the Cavaliers organization long before LeBron quit in the Boston series of 2010.

Now Brown is the coach, again, and we're inevitably opening ourself up for James to tease us again.
