Ben wasn't even obligated to drop the first hint, let alone make us aware of a possible rumor.

No, just the people blaming some of Kyrie's poor performances on the ruthless Cleveland media and the vicious fans.

there was a distraction for one game, he scored 44 the next night. The whole issue of is performance that night is being way, way overblown. And nobody ever even alluded to fans being an issue besides you.

I agree, it was just a bad game. I don't think the media had anything to do with it though. It was just a really bad game on his part, it happens.

He probably is a frequent reader of RCF. Half of that organization probably reads or contributes to this forum. Inane posts by 14 year olds all of the sudden acquire significant power to shape the fortunes of a franchise. The trolls have won.

He's probably never heard of RCF. I love this site, but you honestly think the players are spending time reading through our criticisms and wild speculation?

You know, I'm starting to doubt your inside sources.

The amount of negativity towards Kyrie is astounding. He's a good guy and a great player. We need this guy signed, even if we were trading him as that would increase value, but I highly doubt we'd be interested in trading him. A prior post mentioned Cleveland being negative about him. It's not Cleveland, it's just certain folks on this thread.

a great player? seriously?

Yes, Kyrie is a great player... Get over it. Kyrie isn't just some mediocre player that every team has, he's a special player and not many teams have a special of a player as Kyrie, especially as young as Kyrie.

@PeterVecsey1: @oldmanbackagain @JaySway52 Point is, Kyrie won't re-up with Cavs. When he leaves and where he winds up are unknown. Let guessing game begin

I really dislike this dude, and certainly don't believe half the stuff he spews, but another possibility...

@PeterVecsey1
Contrary 2 report, reason Cavs won't offer Kyrie max extension: because they know he wouldn't accept & don't want 2 look bad#goinggoinggone

Maybe Kyrie already informed them, unlike hearing 'decision' on tv. Why do u think they won lottery, beforehand??

Once again, obviously just a rumor from a guy who likes to get under peoples skin. Not sure he even understands how RFA works, or how much $ Kyrie would leave on the table. But if the initial rumor was the Cavs wouldn't give Kyrie the MAX, I guess the next logical rumor to follow is, why? Because he says he won't resign. So now we're lead to believe the Cavs are trying to get out in front of the truth and supposedly be unsure of whether they want to resign him.

Now, if Woj dropped this in a #WojBomb, that'd be a hot rumor. This just seems like trolling.

Is he insinuating that the NBA rigged the lottery for us knowing that Kyrie was about to leave? If so, there goes every ounce of his credibility. The lottery is not rigged, and any "journalist" who says that it is is a hack.

There's really nothing Vecsey could say that would make me stand and take notice with this pending situation. He has never shown that he's plugged in with this organization even a little bit. Now, he's the guy who is going to break all this stuff first? Since he has a history of essentially trolling in situations like this one, I'll just assume he's piggybacking off of the other (seemingly invalid) NY media report and speculating on a slow news day.

Yes, the minute Woj starts chiming in and backing this stuff up, I'll get a little freaked out. Even one of our local guys... As of now, this seems to be a narrative that only exists in the dark corners of NY tabloid journalism.

Yeah, it seems like that's what he's getting at. Which is absurd. Like I said, don't really believe this guy.

I will say this, where there's smoke there's fire…he's probably just *guessing how/who/where the fire started.

Kyrie is such a problem player. So sick of him. No way there is this much smoke around the guy and it's all bullshit.

That said, I'd much rather he stay here and get better + we start contending than trade him, unless we are getting a big haul (doubtful). Just tired of reading about how discontent this guy is. He isn't even that good. Someone called him a "great" player. Pretty sure great players play more than one end of the floor.

The fact that he's insinuating the lottery was rigged for us because the league had prior knowledge of Kyrie leaving should discredit anything he has to say. He's just making shit up to create a buzz. It's working apparently.
