Cavs Actively Shopping Everyone

I consider myself a Kyrie fan and I have to agree with your sentiments here. There is a lot of smoke and, if Kyrie is making it known the Cavs "have to get better for him to stay," I will call it what it is... a sense of entitlement when he should have a sense of responsibility.

He hasn't been good enough to be the best player on a playoff caliber team yet and that's just the cold, hard truth. He needs to spend more time looking in the mirror than it seems he does. Again, I say "it seems," because of all these reports -- not just the NY media ones. Windhorst was saying this shit months ago.

He has the chance to be a really great NBA player and I don't say that lightly. However, if he spends his career blaming the situation and not working on his game, he's destined to be Deron Williams 2.0 and it won't matter where he's playing.

This is the thing. It's not just the easy to dismiss NY reports. Windhorst has said it and so has Lloyd. I'm not sure how we can continue to pretend he isn't saying this stuff.

It still doesn't mean he won't sign a max deal, but I'm convinced he doesn't really want to be here.

Wow. There are people in here who still haven't figured it out yet??

Um, I said one of the worst, and yes, he is one of the worst. At least at his position.
.

My mistake/lack of reading comprehension. And I wouldn't disagree that he is currently one of the worst at his position.
I have no problem agreeing with some of the faults, on the court and off the court, that Kyrie has displayed so far.
For a variety of reasons, ranging from his immense list of positive talents to market conditions to the Cavs historical place in the FA market, I hope we resign him and I personally would take the risk and offer him a MAX contract, hoping that some of his shortcomings can be improved on and that he can how to play up to the value of the contract. Personally, I can also tune out all of the noise and just wait until the extension can be offered and then accepted/rejected before getting to worked up about things.

you mean you're tired of the (NY) media portraying him as discontent? I've never heard a single quote directly attributed to him.

Oh lord. So this is the standard now? Kyrie Irving has to say publicly he wants to leave in order for you to believe there is truth to the rumors?

Does Cleveland have the luxury to kick Kyrie to the curb and just bring in the long line of true superstar players that are waiting to come aboard?

Whether I think Kyrie is or can be a true #1 leader and #1 option on a Championship doesn't matter. In assembling a championship level team, you need multiple talents. When in Cleveland you have to draft, trade for, develop and keep those talents. We have one of those talents in Kyrie(warts and all) We need to keep him, continue to develop him, surround him with better talent, and work towards a championship. We can not afford to just let him go unless we're kicking back the clock 2-3 years.

1 - I NEVER said that. 2 - Thanks for answering my question.

Read through the first 4 or 5 pages after Ben posted. You can figure out what the info was. I didn't realize people were still even talking about it.

I honestly don't even know where/when that was.

. Z leaving was not the rumor Ben has. I am sure Z is leaving this summer, but honestly no one would sit on that story and call it a hot rumor.

Perfect song for the thread at this point.

My point wasn't that he needs to be traded, but that he just might not be the "main" guy we need.

He's not the "main guy" we need. He was never going to be. He is still supremely talented, and should be able to use that talent to make guys better and be part of the solution. I don't want to trade him, but if that is beneath him, or he just doesn't want to be here, I won't be heartbroken as long as we get a good return for him.

Do we know if this rumor involves players ? Or are we talking new Cavs uniforms ?

@PeterVecsey1
Maybe Kyrie already informed them, unlike hearing 'decision' on tv. Why do u think they won lottery, beforehand??

The ignorance behind this tweet is extreme. What is being suggested is that a multi billion dollar firm that would lose all of its assets and credibility by lying about draft results chose to do so for a $50,000 engagement. So basically risking billions and going against core values for $50k.
