2016 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lol Wisconsin lost to OSU, Michigan, and Penn State by 7

What a meltdown by Wisconsin...

I'm not saying Oklahoma sucks. And Houston isn't a bad team. But UW lost to USC and beat everyone else. Other than their two ranked wins, Kansas State is the only .500 team Oklahoma beat. Their case isn't as good as Washington's, and that's not even bringing up the extra loss.

Because Cal, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, and Oregon State was SUCH a gauntlet of tough Pac-12 opponents...

just run it right at them VT for crying out loud. Dont drop back and then run it, it gives clemson a chance to stop it.

I heard different people say that OSU will still get in regardless of this game. Basically PSU or WU will have to dominate one another. Maybe this is the gameflow we needed.

Think in a weird way OSU can thank Michigan for PSU not passing over them. We make such a big deal about head-to-head with OSU and PSU, that we forget they'd have to put PSU over a team they lost to 49-10 in the rankings.

Would anyone be opposed to them shaking up the way the divisions are organized in the B1G?

It's not. But beating Colorado, Stanford, Washington State, and Utah while losing to USC is a bit more impressive than beating Oklahoma State, West Virginia, and Kansas State and losing to Houston.

Damn. Tomorrow just gonna be fake drama about Penn State lol

Guys I'm very scared OSU will drop from 2 to 5 by not losing a game...

How about Penn State jumping a team that beat them by 39?

I think people might be overvaluing conference championships a little bit. Yes, they are a factor. As in, ONE factor.

As others have said, maybe the ordering of the top four will change. Otherwise, I expect the same teams to be there when the rankings are announced.

I'm not arguing whose resume is better...I think literally everyone here is in agreement that OU doesn't match up to Washington, strictly because of the current rankings reflect a large gap between them.

I'm just arguing against your shit logic on who had a tougher schedule between the 2, or your poor logic towards Rich's original point that OU should have just scheduled Rutgers and Idaho and Portland State as their out of conference schedule next year if that want to go to the playoff.

This all started because a guy called out a team for scheduling a shit OOC schedule and saying they shouldn't be rewarded for that. There is no debate to be had over that, or who had the harder schedule between the 2.

I know. That's as ridiculous as a team dropping from 3 to 6 by not losing a game. Could never happen.

I'm scared that they will drop 3 spots because the last time we saw them they were beating the #3 team in the country...

The unnecessary nervousness that will be in here will be too much until tomorrow. This team was a lock the second Curtis Samuel broke the goal line in 2 OT.
