I'll be surprised if the Celtics even keep it within single-digits in any of these games

BOS just got through a roller coaster series. Everyone is saying GM 1 is the hardest game of the series but I could easily see BOS coming out flat due to the quick turnaround.

Oh yeah and we have the GOAT so that helps.

Don't call my shot often but I'm calling a Cavs sweep.

Maybe I'm blinded by my hate for all things Celtic but I just don't see how a midget and 11 jags are going to give the Cavs any more trouble than Toronto did.

Boston may very well come out flat tomorrow, but I’m worried the Cavs will come out rusty.

9.5 days in between games is almost an unprecedented amount of time off for an NBA player, and LeBron has come out and said he feels better when he’s not off for so long.

This is uncharted territory because a team has not had this much time off in several years. Very interested to see how they look.

I'll give Boston a game, maybe two. It wouldn't hurt the Cavs to play a 5-6 games in this series and have a shorter (5-7 days) break before rolling into the GS series.
They have played 8 games in the last 38 days, they are certainly rested at this point.
Now they need to fine tune their skills.

I'm preparing my blood pressure medicine for the calls IT will get.. and the calls LeBron and Kyrie won't.

Players have to ready for that too and not get too frustrated with it (I'm allowed, I'm just sitting on my couch).

I'm sure at home they will have a few guys step up (Bradley is one candidate) that will make things annoying for a while. I think ultimately I believe they should have lost last night if Washington had any semblance of a bench to give their guards rest (they were exhausted) and if Kelly doesn't have the game of his life. I still would have feared Washington more, the single only reason to want to play them over Boston is homecourt which won't matter at all once we win game 1.

Cavs know what their ultimate goal is and how incredibly valuable rest is. I expect a close first half as we get our feet back under us and then start to establish control tomorrow.. and then blow them out in game 2 and series over.

You're overlooking one thing - how the zebras call the game in the Gahden. Been watching games there for too long to expect anything close to decent calls.

I just don't see how this series goes 6 games. Outside of Thomas, there is no one that is going to give you 20 points a game on the Celtics roster. You may have an inspired performance from Horford or Crowder for a game or two but you can't rely on those guys to show up consistently. We have so much more talent, top to bottom.

Most thought they would come out flat against Toronto..just took a quarter and they rev'd it up..

Another thing- aren't the Cavs on the verge of setting an NBA record for consecutive playoff wins? I'm sure they guys are aware of that.. not ever day you get to cement yourself into the recordbooks like that. Would be a neat achievement and a bit of extra extra motivation to win these games in Boston.

It's fun seeing this thread brimming with confidence.. far cry from how most of us felt 2 months ago.

Yep. They need to win the first two games of this series to tie the record. 88 - 89 Lakers streak stands at 13.

edit: Do you think we whip out the black jerseys tomorrow or do you think we are saving that for a potential GM 1 at Oracle?

You have to assume they are making an appearance this post-season.

Boston in the playoffs has no chance stopping the Cavs on offense. I expect the Cavs to get wide open looks on every trip down the court.
Just set a screen by whoever is guarded by Thomas and force a switch against Lebron, post him up, rinse and repeat.

We are going to own them on the boards aswell. They have 0 chance if we come out strong.

I hope Lue tells them to crush them from the start, don't let their crazy ass crowd get involved.

I agree with your points; but would rather see the series end as quickly as possible due to risk of unintentional injury or dirty play.
