2017 Cleveland Browns Defense

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well next time that crazy voice in your head starts talking to you, just remember that Bryant is now in his early 30's and coming off a very severe injury.

Also remember this is probably the best mix of young D-Line talent this team has had.... in awhile.

It might be a very good mix of talent, but they also haven't had very many snaps in the NFL. I mean Shelton, Cooper and Meder are the guys outside of Bryant who have three years of experience, everyone else is below that experience wise. The talent and potential is there, but you still need some experience out there with them. My money would be on Bryant starting on our DLine at DT, but I guess that like of thought is wrong in people's eyes, but we cannot just rely on talent alone if we want to improve our record from last season.

One thing I forgot about Calvin Pryor is that he actually played free safety in college. He had a reputation for laying the wood on big hits at Louisville, but he wasn't an in the box player. Maybe his disappointing play with the Jets had a lot to do with changing roles. I'm pulling for him to regain his form and have enough range for the starting free safety gig.

Well maybe under Williams here in Cleveland he can revive his career. It was a low risk trade for the Browns so if he fails then we didn't give up anything long term and if he succeeds then we just upgraded our defense and can try to keep him.long term fairly easily.

You don't really have to see the photo below to know, but Gregg Williams is going to expect his starting SS to have many LB-esqe responsibilities. They targeted Tony Jefferson in free agency for a reason.. It's going to be very interesting to see if Peppers can thrive in that role.

No, what is wrong in our eyes is that you said Ogbah would not be starting. You know, the guy who had a strong second half last season, had 5.5 sacks as a rookie, has 16 games under his belt now, and the guy we should be really excited about heading into 2017.

That was the problem.

He still has to earn the starting spot and either way, he will be effective at DE and probably the occasional OLB as well, so he won't play every snap, but as long as Ogbah works hard, he will be one an opposing team has to deal with especially since the RT has to deal with him all night.

Peppers is changing his jersey number.

Make sure you all wait to order that jersey!!!!! :chuckle:

We all know @AZ_ will be the first one to sport his jersey. He is waiting at his computer to order it as soon as he possibly can!!! :chuckle:

But he is your favorite new Browns player!

How long are you gonna keep going with this joke, man?

Let it die in peace.

I honestly don't even know why you're making it.

It's offseason, so there isn't anything better to do, especially when you like to rip apart anything I say, so when you start letting things go then I will as well good sir since you never let things go either so I am not being any different than you are in all sincerity!

Yeah, I'm giving you shit for the stupid things you say.

I literally have no idea where your "Peppers is your favorite player" shtick is even coming from.

I didn't like him much as a prospect, I guess?

It was cause of the fact you said Cleveland shouldn't draft him and you really hated on him as a prospect and we still drafted him so he is your favorite player cause of the fact you hated on him as a prospect.

The thing is also seem to pick out what I say a lot more than anyone else who posts on here, so when you treat everyone the same, I have no issues, when you purposely pick on one person then that is a lot different. I may not be the best poster in the world, but I am not an ass to posters if their opinion differs then mine. If you don't like me then ignore me, so we can agree to disagree with that

I didnt like Peppers much as a top of the first prospect either. But once the Browns hired Greg Williams, my tune changed as he is perfect for his defense. Still like Obi more, but that was my man crush and thought he came with value being what i expected an early 2nd vs Peppers as a mid 1st.

But we now have peppers, great nose for the ball carrier and incredible athlete, lets hope Williams teaches him to be a stud in his defense.
