2017 Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't think people are super mad that we lost, just ... I mean, the way they looked yesterday was definitely a step back. Five turnovers and the HORRIBLE (I can't stress this enough, it was dreadful) mismanagement at the end of the half from the coach all the way down to how the team played. I mean, fuck, that was a huge swing and the Browns never recovered. Not to mention penalties.

The Ravens are way better, I get it. But damn, is progress too much to ask for?

A span of one game is not much time for progress, especially when you're talking about a game on the road in Baltimore versus at home in Cleveland.

Gotta give it some time....

It is pretty frustrating to see no-effort plays from Britt and Coates. Our WR corp is already one of the worst in the league. We have no wiggle room for guys to take plays off, especially with how young our team is....bad for team chemistry and locker room morale.

Hopefully they both get an earful in the film room this week.

I realize that which is why I'm trying not to go off the 480 bridge.

But, we have to discuss the game, what else is there to talk about.

I'm really hope the coaches send a message to the team and cut Britt if this lolly-gagging ass keeps putting up performances like yesterday. It's one thing to keep a young guy around who is playing like that if you hope you can turn him around, but as a vet Britt needs to at least be giving it his all on every play.

It's not like they couldn't afford to bounce him.

I think the feeling of dread and impatience is justified.

Our track record from 1999 on is...ridiculous. I'm gonna go out and say, a contemporary expansion team in the form of the Houston Texans has a better track record than us. 4 Division titles, 4 Playoff wins, a player that has won DPOY 3 times in his career already.

Meanwhile we have had...a drought. It's really hard to tell a fanbase that has seen one playoff appearance since 1999, Two winning seasons, no division titles, no ROY's, no MVP's, no Coaches of the Year...none of that...to be patient.

But I am struggling to see any other viable option to make this team become even a wildcard team in the short term. I mean if there's some sort of precedent for this happening? by all means, share. But there's not much we can do right now.

e: The HOPE of course would be for our number 1 overall? To be the JJ Watt, Luke Kuechly, Khalil Mack, or what have you...but again, we've not even seen him touch the field in preseason.

The hits keep coming.

Sign moritz böhringer off Minnesotas PS and try to develop him. would be a hell of a lot better than brittle victor Cruz

Victor Cruz and Bohringer suck. I'm not sure I expect any new signings. Kasen Williams will just be active now.

I don't expect any additions at WR until Josh Gordon comes back.

I'll say this. Hue standing behind his players (outside the Britt thing) has been a positive for him. Now, they need to execute the plays.

I'm convinced we have a coach.

I'd also argue that Butch Davis and Eric Mangini would have also been "the coach", but the problems with them was that this team had no sort of structure to help them out, thus they were hung out to dry.

But he's the guy. The problems are not with him, but rather this team is young and still not there yet talent wise.

Leave him alone. Let this crew keep building. If he quits, he quits...but only then would I want to really move on fro him.

You have to give Jackson 4 years to show he can do the job and this is year two. So we need to be patient and let him develop the young guys.

what in the fuck...

Imagine people asking this about Belichick or something. (Not that Hue=Hoodie)

Fuck the media in this town.

It wouldn't surprise me right now if it could be a bit much for a younger player, but that being said, he is developing guys into his system so it's not always going to be easy at first
