You guys were right about Tomlin.
My only issue was that you guys used nothing to back up any of your takes, yet wondered why others disagreed with you strongly lol. That being said, it still makes no sense to me, and while I hope Tomlin does well, I fear that game 4 scenario if he's matching up against Sonny Grey. I understood what you guys meant that Tito may trust him, but I never imagined it was even realistic with how Clev's pitched. On top of that, I don't even think they've let Tomlin go beyond 80 pitches yet in a single start.
I also don't buy into this idea of using Clevinger as a "weapon" out of the bullpen. Do they plan on using him for when Tomlin doesn't go far in games? or Bauer? Bauer's been solid lately and gone deep, and they've trusted him to go 115+ pitches lately. That limits this "weapon" thing with Clevinger to solely games with Tomlin. That's what like 10-20% of the playoff games? And then you're going to give a guy that you clearly don't fully trust a shot at pitching out of the pen in favor of guys like Goody, Otero, or McAllister who have done it tremendously well all year? I think the whole idea of using Clev as a "weapon" out of the pen is a farce to get people off of the idea of picking Tomlin over him. They somewhat did the same thing with Salazar last year in the World Series and all it got him was two appearances in games pretty much already decided (one of which when Tomlin got completely shelled in Game 6 and gave the Cubs even more momentum).
