Meaningless poll, but lets play....where will the pick end up after the lottery?

Even if the Nets are awful, it's tough to imagine they'll end up with the worst record since they have no incentive to tank. Everyone else with a similarly bad record will realize the draft pick is on the line. That's not the case for the Nets.

This is true.

At the same time I have to believe if any of the limited Vets they have show anything of value they will dump them around the deadline for future assets.

So while they may not exactly be "tanking" if players like Zeller, Carroll, Acy, Booker or Crabbe play well for them at the beginning of the year I can see them moving them, accomplishing the same thing as a tank.

They might not have an incentive to tank but they're just not a good team. They can try all they want but it doesn't give them better players than some of these other teams. Atlanta has some decent guys, basically the suns and the bulls are the only comparably bad teams.

The suns have a lot more talent than Brooklyn but they play in the West which sucks for us. Chicago is our biggest competition imo.

The Pelicans would stop you at the door. You don't get Cousins without the Nets Pick.
Well then they can lose Cousins for nothing, because they're not going to get anything close to that kind of value for him if he makes it public that he's walking.

It’s better than tying up their future cap space with tristian fucking tompson.

They’ve had no incentive to tank the last few seasons...still hasn’t stopped them from being the worst team in basketball over that period of time.

When you have by far the worst high end talent of the teams at the bottom of the barrel, playing hard and trying not to tank only does so much. And on nights where they aren’t outclassed in talent (which will be most nights), they’ll have nights like last night, where they just run themselves out of games against teams who people think are their equals.

Even if they're bottom 3 it's still incredible odds. But damn, this season has started terribly. Hayward and Lin going down. Hayward not coming back this season (though with the Celtics you never know what their medical staff would do).

The "TT and our 2018 1st for Cousins" honestly made me laugh out loud. Righttttttttttttt.

I think all the posts about "they have no reason to tank," "they will win more games than you think," etc, are all just people being cautiously optimistic. Correct, BKN has no reason to tank. But they also don't have the talent to beat very many teams. Losing LIN hurts, and now they have to put literally all their eggs into the DeAngelo Russell basket to be their play-maker and he's undeniably been a disappointment thus far in his career.

In the East or not, Brooklyn is bad. And just got even worse last night losing Lin for the season. I honestly believe they'll win 15-20 games TOPS.

Lin is a good player...Kind, humble, hard-working.
He has millions fans in China..
I hope Nets go to the bottom but not in this way...

I so agree. Lin is still such a great story and really seemingly a good guy and fun to watch. I hate these season ending injuries already. Just dont really wish that on anybody even Draymond and i cant stand that fuck.
