New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Pretty rough episode of snl.

One skit talking about how bad it is for women because of men, even though men are much much more victimized by men than women. Using things like women's suffrage as a point.. Sort of clear they aren't familiar with why women didn't vote.

The next skit they're emasculating men for jokes.

Edit :.. And another one.

Uhhh, how so? Please provide context.

I'm more offended that people still watch SNL than by the content of SNL. If you still watch that garbage show, you deserve to be offended by it.

Re-watching The League in honor of fantasy football playoff season. Such a great show.

Watching the episode where Ruxin is reviewing au pair applications and Andre is doing online dating.

Pete: Knows how to cook, must be good with kids, knows how to read.
Andre: I actually have the same requirements, but I don't care so much about the reading.

I also love how lingo from this show has become so common in fantasy football. In the RCF Dynasty League, @Tornicade is our Taco. :chuckle:

So men are more likely to be victims of male on male violence.

Ok, we knew this.

Wife and I started Schitt’s Creek over the weekend. First episode was like a 7, so we had to kind of go out on a limb for the next few episodes. For the first couple episodes, we both agreed the characters were just a little too over the top to be relatable.

Sticking with it was worth it. The show really comes into its own as the series goes on. Somewhere around late season 1, it becomes a really solid show. And then in season 2, it becomes an excellent one.

Eugene Levy’s son is really good as the bitchy pansexual (???) son and Eugene Levy and Katherine O’ Hara have always been favorites of mine. Chris Elliot is fucking amazing in everything he’s in and this show is no exception. Eugene Levy’s daughter on the show is smoking hot even though her character is frustratingly idiotic. Katherine O’ Hara is basically her character from Beetlejuice. Stevie, who is kind of a cutie, is pretty much April from Parks and Rec.

For the first few episodes it’s a 7/10 but as it goes on it’s 8.5+. I was LOLing. It’s very much like Arrested Development. You just have to plod through the first few episodes.

I agree completely. Season two was hysterical.

Still doing my rewatch of The League. Jeff Goldblum as Ruxin's dad is just an absolutely amazing casting decision. They even look like they could be related.

Also love Sarah Silverman as Andre's slutty sister.

Started watching the Netflix series Dark tonight. Thus far, it seems like the German version of Stranger Things, albeit a bit darker and more adult. Thought the first episode was really good. Set up the mystery well. It really can't shake the Stranger Things vibe, though, especially with all the ominous shots of the security fence around the nuclear power plant.

Definitely going to keep watching.

Also, it's one of the better looking shows I've seen. Feels more like watching a film than a TV show. Some absolutely gorgeous cinematography here.

I’m kinda interested in this show, but it is subtitled, right?

It is. I think there's an English dub, but let's be honest...people who watch foreign shows with English dubs are fucking savages.

I think it's absolutely worth the watch, though. I'm hooked after two episodes, and as I mentioned, the show is absolutely gorgeous.

I watched a couple episodes of this german showed called dark on netflix. I didn't know it was a german show until I started watching it. The dubbing is a little bit of a distraction because it's hard to convey the emotion in a studio. The plot is very interesting though.

How do people watch shows with dubs? They're always awful. Just read the fucking subtitles.

I'll probably switch to it after watching the first two. One problem is sometimes the subtitles go by too fast. You also have to be more focused.

I didn't see your post about the show until after my post.
