New TV Series to watch

Punisher was really well written as far as the story line. Great season. It was even way more violent than I anticipated though, hard to watch in a couple places.

I also think the show does a good job of showing realities of PTSD and struggles that vets go through. It opens your eyes to how tough a lot of those things are mentally on a person. I think that is one of the main reasons the show connects on a deeper level, it is a commentary based on a lot of reality.

This is a show that makes me literally laugh out loud. I can't believe that I only started watching it this year. (I binged all seasons before the new one)

Only show that gets me out of depression for the full duration of it.

Personally, I think this season has been quite a bit funnier than previous ones, at least from a "laughed out loud" standpoint.
 
I just watched Alias Grace last week. Wouldn't recommend it unless you like period pieces. The last episode has some pretty cool parts, but otherwise it's 6 hours of watching a biography about a maid.
 
Holy shit was the ending of episode seven of The Punisher amazing.

That's what I did. I keep that, Arrested Development, The Shield, and The Wire on my PC regardless of what streaming sites they're on. Can always stream them on Plex that way whenever I want regardless of if they get pulled from any sites I'm a member of. And those are four shows that I might decide to watch on a whim and not want to have to wait on a download.

I'm on episode eight. Enjoying it a lot.

I do hope season two moves on from the military villains and focuses more on the mob stories that tend to be the bread and butter from the comics. Hell, even seeing an adaptation of the plot where Fury sends Castle to Russia would be awesome, especially if they could get Sam Jackson to drop by for an episode or two to sell it.

I don't dislike the bad guys in this one, but the grand conspiracy stories are just getting tired to me at this point.
 
The Runaways has been pretty good so far after watching 2 episodes. Another good Marvel tv show. It's sad they allowed inhumans to see the light of day, it brought down their batting average so much.
