Damn, Jimmy G this is some serious good quarterbacking.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
3-0 as a Niner, undefeated as a Starter overall. F U C K M E S I D E W A Y S

Bullshit.

We could have had him this off season for a first rounder.

People here only wanted to give our later 2nd rounder MAXIMUM.

He's CLEARLY well worth the first.

Believe whatever you want buddy. Schefter must by lying, right?

Just because a bunch of slapdicks on this forum didn't want to give up more than one second rounder doesn't mean the Browns weren't willing to offer more (they were).

The Browns called. Repeatedly. They were told "we're not trading him" numerous times over. In April, on draft day, the week of the deadline.

Shit.

I was saying it the whole time. Read back in the thread.

Jimmy G was as sure as they come you could see it right on the tape.

YOU wanting him is irrelevant.

The Browns wanted him too, but that's also irrelevant.

The facts are, and numerous people that know more than either one of us have confirmed this to be true, is that the Patriots refused to trade him to the Browns.

Why did they do this? Who knows? I’m sure it had something to do with the relationship with Brady and Jimmy’s agent, but who knows really?

This thread will be fantastic soon. I see you NFL "experts" :)

Collusion.

I’m just happy that if we fire shitty hue get a competent coach and draft a good qb that you can win

There was a price the Browns could have payed that would have had Jimmy in Cleveland.

What that price is is unknown, but I would assume it would have been a first round pick. The Eagles pick.

The Browns refused to pay it, and it's a monumental mistake.

In fact, now you'd probably trade Garrett for him straight up. It's another fuck up.

So you would have traded the No. 1 overall pick for Jimmy Garoppolo?

For what it's worth, Mary Kay on April 28th said she believed the Browns offered AT LEAST the No. 12 overall pick and were rebuffed.

But by all means, hammer Sashi for something that was never going to happen.

Let's not forget the the niners released Hoyer who immediately came in as a backup, so they got a good pick and a veteran backup. If you trade with us, all you get is the pick.

Aside from not wanting to send Jimmy to a shitty situation, I can see why the Pats went the way they did.

Some people in here seriously need to come to grips with the fact that it takes two to tango in trades and you can't just force a team to give you a player you want.

I mean how naive is it to assume it wasn't going to happen?

The Pats would take the most assets they could get. They got a 2nd rounder.

They're one of the best run organizations in sports and I'm sure they want to maximize their capital to keep improving their roster because they're surely not dumb.

We never beat the offer.

So Schefter, Pluto, Mary Kay, Rapoport are all lying/wrong?

Because every single one of them says the Browns made a better offer - both in April AND in October - than what the 49ers eventually got the Patriots to accept.

Just admit that you're talking out of your ass.
