Damn, Jimmy G this is some serious good quarterbacking.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Didn't Schefter reiterate earlier this week that the Patriots deliberately chose not to involve Cleveland in trade talks?

Hard to be furious if that's true, and I tend to believe Scheffer.
I wouldn’t understand this though. Deliberately shrinking your trade market and lowering his value by removing any competition/leverage?

Unless Sashi did something in previous negotiations that really pissed New England off, I’m not sure why they wouldn’t at least call the Browns to hear their offer.

Then why were the two teams seemingly having legitimate talks leading up to the 2017 draft?

I mean you heard the rumors as much as I did.

They were having "talks" as in the Patriots were asking for things the Browns couldn't/wouldn't do, like the No. 1 overall pick.

The Patriots, confirmed by many people, did not appear to want to trade Jimmy to Cleveland. I don't believe it had anything to do with Bill's distain for Cleveland considering they made the Jamie Collins trade recently.

I just think the Pats wanted to do right by Don Yee (Jimmy's agent... also Brady's agent) to not send Jimmy to a place where his career would go to die.

Here's an article from April saying the Browns were told no before the draft.

That article speculates the Browns were willing to give up the No. 12 and additional picks and were still told no.

I understand Sashi did a bunch of shit some of you didn't like, but this really feels like a situation where the Browns simply didn't have a chance.

Well maybe if Bill was more worried about getting the best return and less worried about “doing right by Jimmy” then they wouldn’t be losing HFA to the stools

Royal fuck up because the Pats didn't give the Browns an opportunity to best the 49ers offer, which judging by what we offered for McCarron and our previous infatuation with Jimmy G, we easily would have done.

But it's much more fun to believe Sashi and co. were out of the office and we live in an era where cell phones don't exist.

Sashi did plenty of things worthy of catching heat over.

"Missing" on Jimmy G isn't one of them. The Patriots simply were not going deal him to Cleveland. Numerous people with knowledge of the situation have confirmed this over and over.

For whatever reason, New England opted to take a lesser trade.

Is this a serious post? Yeah because front office executives are always soooo forthcoming about trade speculation, especially on specific players. They certainly NEVER blow smoke.

Bullshit.

We could have had him this off season for a first rounder.

People here only wanted to give our later 2nd rounder MAXIMUM.

He's CLEARLY well worth the first.

The difference a good QB can make.

3-0 with a team that allegedly has less talent than the Browns.

Back to back 300 yard games for a 49er for the first time since Jeff Garcia.

Can't make this stuff up.

This guy has made Marquise Goodwin into an all pro my god.

Could you imagine what he could do with Gordon???

Fuck this shit I'm mad.
