Cuz if you're giving someone that long of a contract? He had better be in contention for a "GREATEST OF ALL TIME" type figure. A guy that would rival Paul Brown, Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry, Chuck Noll and Bill Walsh for success.

(FWIW? If this is college? I would only do that for a guy like Urban or Saban.)

Jon Gruden's contract length matches the number of years in which he has not coached a football game. Sweet Moses.

The very reason he's not firing Hue is because he admitted he didn't want to pay a coach not to coach. He's being more tight with his money in that realm.

I mean I think it would be an amusing watch and I think in (THEORY) he would get this team to being respectable again.

However..much like Gruden, much like this Belichick fantasy we're having? it's just that.
