Im pretty sure that Godwiddie is going to fucked up my dream about JJJ playing for Cavs.
I’m not including Love in this deal, he’s the perfect compliment to go with Bron and Kawhi . BKN / Cedi and anyone else besides Nance .Read the Spurs forums and a lot think Kawhi Wants out. He’s medically cleared to play but claims he still has pain. Doctors can’t find out what the problem is.
If true, and he pulls a Kyrie, you think Spurs would trade him? If that actually ends up happening...let’s hope The Spurs love Cedi as much as they did this past summer...along with the Nets Pick and Kev
I doubt any of this happens but I agree we should do whatever it takes to get him, just to keep him away from Boston...
That would be awesome, but irrealistic. Boston, for example, can offer a much better package if they tend to include Tatum/Brown and picks. As much as the Spurs may like Cedi he's not on the same level as those 2 in Boston.I’m not including Love in this deal, he’s the perfect compliment to go with Bron and Kawhi . Love would have to be included in the deal. And even then I guess the Spurs wouldn't need Love if they try to rebuild.

If the Spurs decide to move on, and that's a big fucking if, this would probably not be a bad year for them to do it, considering the quality of the draft. It would be the most Spurs move ever to transition onto a new player in a stacked draft like this where they initially didn't have a lottery pick on hand.
That said, I still think it's a long shot. Kawhi when healthy is a rock solid top 5 player in the league, they would have to be extremely high on one of the lottery picks to even consider making a move. The question is, is there any player in the lottery who, in the hands of the current Spurs organization could turn into an equally great player as Kawhi, which I think is a huge fucking gamble.
If you're looking at guys that fit the Spurs profile of high character/low ego players with defensive potential you'd probably have to cut out Ayton and Bagley to begin with. Doncic checks a lot of boxes but I wonder if his defensive question marks are too severe for SAS to hitch their wagon to him. Bamba is the exact opposite where his defensive potential is a plus but his waning effort level and focus is a huge red flag. Then you have Porter who has so many question marks at this point in time that it's hard to guage where he will fall at all right now.
The only guy I can think of who really fits the bill is Jackson, but even I have to wonder if it's feasible that he turns into a top 5 player in the same way Kawhi did. It just seems like too big of a risk for an organization like the Spurs at this point, honestly.
So, Kawhi is cleared medically but is refusing to go back in...sounds like he does not trust their medical team at least.
Furthermore, he fired his agent and hired his uncle to represent him. (Now I’m getting flashes of how Kyrie and his daddy were a headache for the organization. Family representation is never a good idea.)
Both of those factors sound good if you want a rift built between the Spurs(Pop) and Kawhi.
Bruh, it’s Kawhi. He is the closet thing to LeBron in this league as far as impact. You put up with his uncle, aunt, grandpa, cousin Roni, and whoever else he wants to bring to Cleveland. While I agree that it is a positive sign, we just ended a relationship with a young star player with a volative family member, so we should probably do our due diligence before we hitch our wagons to the Kawhi Karavan.

Cleveland, the Cavs, and Dan Gilbert are the perfect match for the family drama that comes from teams catering to super starts.

I don't see Ainge pursuing Kawhi. As others have said, I think he's either resigned to waiting out LeBron/the Warriors or making a power move for AD.It was tough for me until the thought of Kyrie/Gordon/Kawhi crossed my mind.
Now we know why Lebron is gushing so much about Cedi.... He has Pop foaming at the mouth lol.
So whats the trade look like on that? Nets pick + Love + Cedi? He only has one year left on his contract after the year but he is probably the 3rd best player when healthy.
