2018 NBA Draft - June 21

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can you also post the list of guys you have done, so I don't suggest those by mistake?

Jevon Carter seems like an obvious one, for instance, but I vaguely recall that maybe you did him already? Keenan Evans is another guy who surely deserves a spot on the list...I think he's somewhat under the radar because he shot poorly from 3 this season, but big picture he has the profile of a nice sparkplug bench guard.

I would give suggestions off the list, but I feel like I should suggest players I don't already know a lot about, and then I just gravitate towards cool names like Admiral Schofield. I'll think about it :chuckle:

Great, I must've missed it (or maybe I liked your post last week and this is an embarrassing example of my forgetfulness...lol)

Haha no you didn't, I just don't post all of them in here.

Whew! :chuckle:

EDIT: He seems like exactly the kind of guy who should sign a 3-year contract with a good Euro team, work on his point guard skills and his defense, and then take a crack at the NBA when he's in his prime.

Yeah, I'd bet on him going undrafted tbh. Really needs to improve his shooting off the catch - and by the time he does that, he'll be older and teams will become infatuated with guards in the more recent drafts. There's still a chance his iso game totally translates and he's a quality scorer, but I don't expect that to happen.

Okobo with 17 (EDIT: 19, on a buzzer beater) points at halftime...another really impressive performance in a key game between two teams fighting for a playoff spot. Okobo's team will move above .500 for the first time since December with a win.

Some more big changes in ESPN's top 100 this morning.

DeAndre Hunter all the way up to #18.
Donte Divincenzo up to #32
Shamet down to #42

Jontay only up one spot to #35

Hadn't even really noticed De'Anthony Melton until now because he didn't play this year (FBI probe). Wow. 7 boards, 3 steals, 1.5 blocks per 40 as an 18-year-old freshman last year. As far as I can tell, that's the best defensive statline of any major conference freshman guard since Wade. Solid 5.1/2.6 assist/TO per 40. Compares favorably to Dejounte Murray, who was the steal of the draft a couple years ago. Seems like a guy who could really skyrocket if he shows an improved jumpshot in workouts.

I really like your write ups, you do a really good job with these....is there anyway I can view all of these together somehow?
I'd like to go back and read up on all the possibilities we can get with the Brooklyn pick,,like Trae. I don't know how to go back and search these.

For sure. Should have been a Cavalier with our pick! We should have had like 4 guys by now, atleast.

Crazy deep ass draft.

Why doesnt Wendell Carter get more love around here?

I get he is only an average athlete. But good length and base for center. Shoots 41% from 3, solid big man game, very complete prospect for his age.

I get the upside of the top 3 or 4, but this guy goes 3rd or 4th in most drafts and I think he will fit what the cavs do like a glove.

Yes! Welcome to the Wendell Carter bandwagon, now population 2 :chuckle:

We had talked about it few days ago. It's because of his looks.

What has Melton even been doing for the last year? Is there any word on him besides that he's declaring? Did he practice with the team at all or no? Are there intramural league stats/video I can look at? Probably a similar level of competition to Pac-12 play this year, so no big deal in that regard.
