How much does Windy really know? We keep seeing him giving interviews talking about "I think X" and "I think Y". Do we think he's just spit balling, or do we think he's serving as LeBron's mouthpiece?

I believe he had absolutely no idea in 2014, and I THINK he has lost his connection to LeBron's camp.

Windy is wrong. He is paid to feed the ESPN media machine with clicks and attention.
LBJ is only deciding between two things:
(1) opting in for one year and deciding again next year, or (2) signing a long term deal with the Cavs.
The Cavs already know this, and they're using this knowledge as leverage. Being the ONLY team that knows where LBJ is headed gives us a HUGE advantage in trade conversations.
LeBron and Dan are playing this perfectly. They are totally letting ESPN build the mystery, too.

Honestly, if he is going to come out an say something with that kind of magnitude with no explanation, or insight then I just add it to the rest of the reckless speculation going on with LeBron - and all these "plugged in experts."
Truth is LBJ is still probably evaluating, and will continue to do so until he is satisfied and has weighed all his pro's and con's of any choice he makes.
I think if the stars do not align anywhere (mainly LA), he will opt back in and hold the Cavs ransom for another year, after which he could just leave. Think about it, why go to LA alone for a year and lose? When you could stay here and demand the Cavs make moves to compete.
LeBron knows damn well the Cavs will do whatever it takes to keep him happy. If it does not work out you leave in 2019 and go form a super team wherever you want with Kawhi, and potentially PG13 on your terms.
Zach asked him point blank why do you think that, and he paused a long time, then said he couldn't say.

Windy basically acts like my mom. If she senses I'm riding too high emotionally, she tears me down. If she senses I'm struggling, she picks me up.

Because he doesn't know... Don't you remember how many times he said LeBron wasn't coming back to Cleveland to play for Dan Gilbert or that LeBron and Kyrie didn't want to be teammates and LeBron will never come back to Cleveland he literally hasn't been right on anything LeBron forever and he wasn't right the first time LeBron left either....now I personally think LeBron is more than likely gone and will be pleasantly surprised if he stays but Windy doesn't know shit IMO
