I think part of the reason people are thinking he's gonna be the HC is because it's been labeled as a "2nd interview"..

That may be the case & he may end up being named HC, but at this point there's nothing that's preventing me from thinking this could very well have been an "OC interview" as opposed to a "2nd HC interview".

Really hoping this isnt the case. Was not impressed with his offense. Just give the job to freddie already. Unfortunately i am starting to believe kitchens isn't the man.

I think some of you guys are so far in the tank for Kitchens you will be disappointed if it’s anything but.

Dorsey has hit a home run at his most important at bats, so I think we have to have confidence he hires the right guy.

You just know a ton of hours have been put into this decision.

I'd be ok with either Kitchens or Stefanski. I'd be excited for either.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm just basically debating who I think it will be til we get the word on which guy it is.

He was clearly on NFL teams radar as a possible head coach before his 3 game OC stint.

I have a lot of faith in Stefanski's potential, I'd be thrilled if he is with the Browns in any capacity. Felt that way since it was clear Hue wouldn't last. That said, he will be a good head coach, here or somewhere else.

What makes you such a big fan of his. Most of us are in the dark.

I feel a bit better with Stefanski as OC but that's mainly because I feel more familiar and comfortable with Kitchens.

I generally feel a bit weird about either of them in that capacity, but it feels like the process has been extremely thorough.

Dorsey, Wolf, DePodesta all seem guys that know what the hell they're doing.

I cannot say the same for JW Johnson or Jimmy Haslam but at the very least they seem to have more football guys in the room now.

I'm sure that was it.

Not that Kitchens probably impressed people in house with some creative playcalling and a good chemistry with a very impressive QB.

or Stefanski is a guy that probably fits the Analytical model that DePodesta and gang like.

Or that Arians didn't even get an interview despite publicly pleading for the job.

No, no. People don't want to coach the Browns. That's it.

Fucking moron.
I am SHOCKED that Mitchell Schwartz's brother would use his media platform to shit on the Browns :chuckle:

Dorsey has been apart of the Packers front office when they have hired nobodies and made them head coaches. Guys like Mike McCarthy, Mike Holmgren, ect. He doesnt care about pedigree, age, or experience. If you are the right guy, the Ron Wolf Front Office Tree doesnt care.

With the news that Dorsey was hot on the trail of Stefanski last year, it wouldnt surprise me if he blew them away in the interview. As we all know, dude is a bright guy, a ivy league grad and a former player. He would definitely impress the Depo's and the Andrew Berry's of the world.

Ever since Freddie Kitchens was hired, he had credited John Dorsey with hiring him. He was given the AHC role and was promoted to OC by Dorsey. Clearly he was well liked by many in the Front Office and Kitchens paid back their faith in him tenfold. Hes down to earth yet clearly he understands how to scheme and game plan. I would imagine he might connect with players very easily.

I think either would be a pretty good choice that, in a vacuum, both come with flaws. The surrounding staff is important for both guys. If either becomes the OC for the other guy, I think it would compliment what might be considered to be a weakness.

Supposedly, we should expect the news later this morning. I'm excited to see this conclusion and how the rest of the staff unfolds itself.

I can see from a outsiders perspective how they might think this. Kitchens and sifanski aren’t exactly the the hottest names of the past couple years. But McDaniels and Arians both wanted to be here and got turnt down.

That's gonna be a yikes from me. Childress is awful. We already saw that one.
