Suns just made a trade in early December, OUT OF NOWHERE. This is making me nervous, shit we could see Cleveland Trades Wally to........ headlines tommorrow. I hope we can make a trade by this month, don't wanna wait till Feb.

Calm down. This is why Ferry is a good GM, because he is firm on what he wants. Bad trades often result from knee jerk reactions. We're 18-3, we have great chemistry, and right now, we don't need to move anybody.

i kinda just wanna stay pat right now like... we're playing better than everyone and everyone genuinely is enjoying their roles. why do we want t-mac coming in looking for shots and throwing everything for a loop... i just don't know....

21.2M this year and 23.2M next year. That aside, I also think he's damaged goods.

I'll agree, I'm not particularly thrilled about him. Injury prone, not a great shooter. But it makes sense salary wise that we'd try to find a true second option that has two years left on his contract. Just one of the guys that Ferry might be looking at that we haven't thought of.

No way... He has two healthy ovaries.. Sure, he's out again after a laceration to his vulva, but that's just a minor setback...

Are you trying to suggest you wouldn't be willing to pay T-Puss 23.2 million to sit on your bench ??

I call Shenanigans.....:gtfo:

Why would Houston want to trade McGrady?

*They have Artest for one year only, having rented him to make a run at a championship or Finals appearance this year.

*They have Yao in his prime.

*They are 14-8 and doing fine out West.

They've clearly commited to going for it all this year with the Artest deal, and trying to win with the Celtics "3-star" formula. Their fans would revolt if they traded T-Mac for our scraps.

T-Mac has some serious serious drawbacks and has played awful this year. They were losing when he was playing. That's why.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

just look at that trade...totally lopsided,u got to be kidding me

VC to cleveland please

Michael Jordan proves again why he's such an awful GM. Diaw is badly overpayed and has been overrated after his 1st year in Phoenix. Bell is a solid player but any of us showing interest in him coming to the Cavs was as a backup not a major piece at this point in his career. Bobcats also had to throw in a solid young backup in Dudley and a 2nd round pick.

Richardson may not be a perfect player but you have to get more back for such a productive player.

The honeymoon is over. They are growing sick of him there....for a lot of the same reason I don't want him here.

This was funny-
The Houston Chronicle Seems To Dislike Tracy McGrady
Although I'm not a Rockets fan, I'm well aware of the fact that Tracy McGrady is a frustrating individual to root for. He's constantly battling injuries, he never leads his team out of the first round of the playoffs, and he has no killer instinct whatsoever despite being immensely talented.

His latest irritating move is that he recently visited the one and only Dr. James Andrews to get an opinion on his ailing knee. Andrews recommended one week off for T-Mac and a slow return to the court with restricted minutes. McGrady, however, has instead chosen to just shut himself down until Christmas. And that decision has not gone over well with some people, nor Houston's largest newspaper.

Yep, the Houston Chronicle is officially fed up with T-Mac's crap and has decided to go directly for the throat. Right on the Chronicle's Rockets team homepage, mid-way down, they've got a Tracy McGrady Injury Ticker that alerts all the citizens of the city to exactly how much money the lazy bum is making while he rides the pine of his own free volition during these difficult economic times. Here's a screen shot of the ticker as it currently stands. (Update: the paper has since taken down the "pay for no play" portion of the ticker. Losers.)

Not only do they throw his own quote out there about why he shut himself down, but they make it loud and clear what his "Pay for no play" total is. Which through 4 games is about 25 times what the average person in Houston makes during an entire year.

Damn that's some harsh treatment by the Chronicle. Although at this point, it may actually be warranted.

By the way, something tells me T-Mac may stop giving interviews to the paper from this point on. Just a hunch.

I think of a couple things from this deal. I would guess Ferry offered Wally for Jrich to see if Charlotte wanted to shed salary. Charlotte declined because they are trying to win now with felton/bell/wallace/diaw/okafor. Personally I don't think that makes them a better team, but we will see. Otherwise, if Charlotte was willing to accept Wally, we didn't offer him- meaning we really aren't willing to take on any 2010 salary.
