DUDE STOP GRAVE DIGGING :banhim:

Whenever I have a new comment that involves a topic that hasn't been discussed recently, I always check and see if there is already a thread on that topic. I'm not nearly so arrogant as to think that just because I have something to say, it automatically deserves a new thread. I apologize if that offends you, but that's just basic message board etiquette.

Moving on.

We obviously all want Amare or Bosh. I just think that there's a decent chance that we might not be able to get in the market there, and that we'll be looking at what else is on the market.

If Phoenix does blow it up, there's no reason for them to keep J-Rich. It makes no sense to trade Amare and/or Shaq, and to keep Richardson. It seems to me that he could be available, and it's worth considering if we can't get anything else for Wally.

They could very well just drop J-Rich's salary for an expiring like Wally if they don't get a deal to their liking for Shaq or Amare. Basically they would've done Raja Bell + Boris Diaw for Wally.

Here's a question:

If both could be had for Wally straight up, do you get Jason Richardson (a natural SG) or Richard Jefferson (a SF who can play SG)? I'd rather have RJ (for his superior D and experience at SF), but I remember awhile ago before he got traded there was a poll IIRC that suggested more ppl would prefer J-Rich.

Good question...

I've always been a J-Rich fan, but RJ definitely has more versatillity. I think either one would be very nice for us and I would expect MB would preffer RJ.

I'd honestly prefer J-Rich at this point, I've heard that Jefferson is actually not that great of a SG, and he's only at his best when playing the 3..

That trade is EXTREMELY un-realistic....not to mention, Barbos would be useless here, an undersized combo guard....we already have enough of those.

But in that respect, RJ would play substantial minutes at the 3 regardless. If LeBron optimally rests for 12 minutes a game ( yea right, I know ), those are minutes that RJ would play his natural position. Then consider the amount of small ball Mike Brown plays, especially when starting the 4th quarter. Say 10 min/game of small ball lineups. That might come to 20 minutes of RJ at the SF position.. Besides, SG/SF aren't really distinct positions when considering both LBJ and RJ are good defenders, both can play either positions, and most importantly that whenever LBJ isn't on the floor RJ is at the SF spot. Jefferson would be required to play SG only when simultaneously on the floor with LBJ, and while not playing small ball. Even in those situations, is there really a big difference between the wing positions - with LBJ and Mo on the floor?

Well, most of the stuff I heard about Jefferson was from disgruntled NJ fans, and they said he really couldn't guard SG's very well.

I personally don't buy it, but that's what they were trying to tell me.

Yes but we would have to take him.. Like if we traded for Bosh we would have to take kapono.

Who says we would have to take him? According to J.A. Adande, his insider sources told him that Phx would "rather keep Barbosa"

Megamansilly, that girl is nasty and is staring at me weird. Please remove that, it's freaking me out.

why? Phoenix is probably just fine keeping him because he's young and inexpensive considering his production. It's not like Phoenix is trying to dump him. He's a very good player and is still young.
