I know I said after we smashed the Nets that you can't judge a player by that particular game nor in their current situation..And I still believe that. However, watching J-Rich out there, I don't see a player that fits this team. (Say like VC does)

It would appear that J-Rich is starting to mold into pretty much a spot up shooter/transition player.. The handles look pretty weak, and he's pretty predictable with his (Gerald Wallace-like) spin move..

Little defense
Below average handles

I'm sorry to say, as of right now I'm removing J-Rich off the Santa list...

You don't judge them on one game, especially against us, a good defensive team. You're right. However, we all know Jason Richardson can score the basketball. I honestly would take Vince Carter over him, and maybe Redd over Carter(Redd's contract ends in 2010, by the way), so it'd be interesting to see if we get one of the three guys mentioned.

But I voted Only if he's the best available when we trade.

I still want him, but i would take VC over him any day.

i had this exact same post in the game thread...I am really not sure to be honest

He is obviously better than Wally but I am just not sure....I would certainly like to get Vincent Lamar wellllll before him

yea i want j-rich still...im not going to judge him just for 1 game out of like so many more...he can score and had trouble vs us tonight(vs a good defensive team) so....if he comes here it would be a different story.....i take vc or j-rich though

No. I would take him if he was the best available, but i'd take VC in a HB.

Only if Charlotte agrees to take Tarence Kinsey!!!!!

I think he pretty much turned a 30-point win into a 20-point win, all by himself. He is the absolute worst player on the Cavaliers. He's supposed to have a good handle, and play good defense... in the last 4 games I have seen him, he is none of that. He did so bad tonight, that Mike Brown had to bring Gibson back into the game with only 3 minutes left.

DUMP HIS ASS!!!!!

Honestly I don't know who I want anymore. We are just playing so good and Delonte is really earning his minutes and starting job.

J-Rich is 27 and he will be a free agent 2010, so if it doesn't work out, oh well

As I keep sayin, Id take Vince if we only had to give up Wally (who we'd get back after a month) and Sasha with a draft pick. And that just wont happen.

Id want Wallace over J-Rich just because he DOES fit the team. His style of play is energy and I would bring him off the bench so we dont muddle up whats working with the starting 5. Id take J-Rich also obviosuly, but Im not sure he helps all THAT much. So my Christmas list is now:

1. Wallace
2. Vince (if available for a steal)
3. Mike Miller (used to be Redd)
4. J-Rich
5. JR Smith

I dont really know about JR Smith. Dunno if hes available or if hes ready to play for a contender. All I know is that he could easily be available, has the talent to be a perennial allstar and that he wanted to join Cleveland this summer instead of goin back to Denver, apparently.

Kinsey has been alright in limited garbage time minutes. He proved tonight he is not a PG. That's when his troubles occurred. When he was forced to be the primary ballhandler and initiator of the offense.

As far as J Rich, the Cavs would have to feel he's the right fit and right player long term. His contract, like Carter's, runs until 2011 so he would be THE major addition for the Cavs.
I'm not as gung ho as I was about having to acquire any of these players right now. It really would have to be almost the perfect scenario. As things are now the Cavs don't need to make a move. They can afford to wait for that almost perfect trade or choose to hold onto their future cap flexibility if they want.

VC please.

Jason Richardson is one dimensional, when his shot is off you dont get anything else from him.

To be fair, Kinsey isn't a point guard. But, if he's to stick in the NBA that is the position he'd have to have some projection into ...much like with Shannon Brown and his issues in getting established in the league. JonfromVa has made this point in the past, and the same line of thinking stands true.

But, no ...he's not a guy you want initiating your offense when th game is on the line ...
