Browns and the 2023 NFL Trade Deadline

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A 6th??? Wtf. If we don’t get anything else at this deadline and the only move we make is getting rid of our best run blocking WR then we’re much worse off.

This changes the roles on offense significantly

lol it’s not though. They don’t have to trade him. We clearly need him more than they need a 5th my guy

They would be incredibly stupid to think this way. Any tanking team would trade their backup qb who’s on a 1 year deal for a 5th.

The DPJ trade, to me, says more about the desire to open up playing time for Tillman and Bell than anything else. Both are struggling to earn opportunities (Tillman has multiple DNP-CDs). Hopefully one of them emerges - though I'm not optimistic either will make as much or more of an impact than DPJ.

Why not extend the logic to any tanking team would trade their backup qb who’s on a 1 year deal for a pick swap in the 7th? You’re essentially saying the backup in Washington is worthless

Do you not see how the logic breaks down? They’re not in the business of giving him away if they can leverage other teams against each other to pay more. If the browns are as desperate as half this board thinks they are they would be incredibly stupid to just give him away
