Browns and the 2023 NFL Trade Deadline

Sigh.

Given it’s been an underwhelming QB position and he’s in a contract year, I wouldn’t be shocked if DPJ quietly asked for a trade especially if Browns wouldn’t commit to re-signing him to which I can’t blame him..

DPJ is one guy that’s been severely impacted by the QB spot..

I’ve always appreciated DPJ’s ability, sure-handedness and was hoping he could continue after his breakout last year..

Sure seems like Tillman will have a bigger role in the 2nd part of the year and either Daerden or Proche become your new punt returner unless they feel good about Moore being back there..

Side note: The WR room could look completely new once again with DPJ now officially out and Cooper’s large $$ hanging in the balance..

Goodwin seems to be getting more plays in the Moore package even though Moore is still in the backfield sometimes.

Also noticed that Moore started the game as our PR man against SEA.
 
Browns were paying him to do cardio every Sunday—

Cooper is getting a new contract
 
Can’t help but think DPJs value was a lot higher this past off-season.

As soon as we drafted Tillman, the writing was on the wall but I feel like we could have gotten a whole lot more than a future 6th back in May.
 
Not trading for a QB means Watson is close to being back. That is a good thing.
 
Definitely not worried that the guy in Detroit who drafted Amon Ra and had essentially a flawless skill position draft this last year wanted DPJ….I’m sure he’s just a throwaway player.

I cannot recall where I read or heard this but I had it in the back of my head DPJ was not a happy camper here and has been unhappy for sometime... I could be wrong...
