#12 Miami at #2 Ohio State

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Even still, Ohio State should have scored, at least, 48 points. 5 drives started in or on the Miami 30 and we only got two tds.

Agreed. Pryor played smart football today and we didn't turn the ball over, which is great, but can't say we moved the ball as well as I would have liked to see. Outside of the quick drive with passes to Posey and Saine, our passing offense was pretty unimpressive.

We need to find some carries for Berry.. He was impressive on his two kick returns.

Quit whining, we won by two scortes against a good team, out of conference style. We had some rough ends on special teams but fuck it, who cares, we won by a decent margin. Game was not even really close.

Not whining. We're far and away a better team than Miami. I'm comparing us to the Alabama team I'm watching right now.

Seems like everyone is complaining we didn't win by more. Maybe it's the alcohol but I am totally content with this win. My brother was complaining we didn't win by more...seems a lot of people on message boards are too...I dont get it?? We just beat a really talented team by two scores, probably our biggest game of the regular season. Iowa might be tougher, that's about it..

I think the reason people are complaining about the score is you have 4 FG's from inside 25 yds. That's missed opportunities that could bite this team in the ass when they're playing a more talented defensive tam than they played today. You have to convert at least half of those opportunities into 6 pts.

I agree- but I think it's time to accept the Buckeyes are still a defensive based team. Pryor is not a god of war like we thought he was. The guy still kind of blows if you're expecting him to rape people in the passing game. He's a black Craig Krenzel who can make plays with his feet. Good enough to win a title, but he isn't going to go Heisman on your ass, that much is clear.

It's that and also how tSV gets conservative once he's inside the 20.

Conservative coaching doesn't impress fans, and conservative coaches are always second-guessed in hindsight. That said, look at the wins and losses. Look at the quality of wins. Look at the things the BCS polls and rankings use to gage the quality of a team.

Aside from the special teams coverage, I don't see how a fan can come away from that game disappointed.

But special teams is supposed to be Coach T's specialty...and it blew goat chunks. Fortunately, we do have a fairly dominating defense. (Was hoping they'd be more aggressive going after Harris...especially once he started hobbling around with cramps)

Tressel was an offensive assistant throughout his early career, and a conservative one at that. Don't know where you are getting your information.

OSU dominated the game. The score was not indicative to how the game was played. Miami didn't move the ball on offense until the Buckeyes started to just rush four and drop 7 back into deep zones.

Competent special teams coverage and this game would have been a laugher.

Yeah, should have typed out what I was saying more clearly...he places a lot of emphasis on special teams (he says the punt is the most important play in football.) Normally, we have great special teams...this season (thus far) we have stunk.
