#185 - Caleb Brantley, DT, Florida

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Dude should of just had the threesome

I am not 100 on this, but it might have been a female friend he was picking up. Anyways, the friend should have come out right away and Brantly could of left.

It is funny that Brantly was being a good guy picking up a drunk friend and it turns into this stupidity.

there was a reason he was not charged at the seen and he and his lawyer claim they are the victims though.

How many DL make the team? 7? 8?

So that is:

Shelton
Garret
Medor
Ogunjobi
Cooper
Nassib
Ogbah
Brantley
Bryant
Wynn

For sure Bryant is in trouble. Maybe i am missing something but 2 or 3 of those guys are gone.

Williams carried 9 DL last year in St. Louis. Assuming that carries over to the Browns, these are the nine that I think stick as of now.

DE: Garrett -> Holmes
NT: Shelton -> Meder
3T: Bryant -> Ogunjobi -> Brantley
DE: Ogbah -> Nassib

If Bryant doesn't make it, that would open up a spot for Cooper at 3T or forgotten man Nate Orchard at DE. I suppose hypothetically Ogunjobi could moonlight as the backup nose as well and slide Meder off the team.

We'll see how it goes. Cooper and Orchard weren't drafted by this regime so I'm assuming they're the first to go.

Meder, Holmes, and Cooper will be fighting for one spot IMO

Different positions IMO.

Holmes is a DE/pass rusher. Cooper and Meder are both inside guys.

I think there are two battles of the guys on the current roster.

Holmes v. Orchard for 1 DE spot
Cooper v. Meder v. Bryant for 2 DT spots.

I suppose Nassib could bulk up and play DT too which would throw some things into flux.

I think Orchard is a round peg in a square hole and odd man out switching to a 4 man front.

See, I don't agree with you on that one. Orchard played 4-3 DE his entire college career at Utah and moving him to 3-4 OLB was very much a projection by the Farmer/Pettine regime.

I never got the feeling that he adapted all that well to taking his hand off the ground in the pros.

Truth be told, I think moving back to a 4 man front has actually made the chances of him sticking as a backup/rotational pass rusher much higher. I think it just depends on how much loyalty, if any, the current front office has for him since they didn't draft him.

I dont disagree about the 3-4 vs 4-3 on him, as I really dont know much about his college career and I would be lying if I said I know.

What I dont agree about this front office and loyalty. I think they have displayed zero loyalty to anyone and best man wins, which is the way it should be. I really dont think they care who drafted the player. They have admitted they themselves go after extra picks because they know they will miss on picks.

Well...those premature accusations some of you made don't look so good now.

Basically if you hit a 300 pound soon to be pro athlete in the face, you might lose a tooth as he pushes you away and its your own damn fault.....even if your female.

I do believe the girl got pushed in the face per her accusation, I just dont believe a one time push away is unreasonable for Caleb since by her own admission, she was the aggressor. He even walked away to get away and she followed.

Now for the lazy part, that is legit, but he is a 1st round talent, with a 2nd round grade because of his laziness we just got in the 6th round.

This is where having a Harvard lawyer as a GM pays off.

Which is how it should be. Everyone wants equality, here you go. You dont get some legal shield around you for having a vag.

He could have been arrested on "excessive force" or something on that nature if he would of beat the shit out of her, but he didnt.

I am also sure it helped he was sober and she was drunk, really not much evidence on her side.

Could be a great pick-up on the o-line. A break the Browns usually don't get. I just hope his character & effort questions don't surface.
