Re: Andrew Bynum

If we want to offer Bynum a top heavy contract, Why cant we do the same for Chris Kaman?

Re: Andrew Bynum

Awww, shit. And here it is...

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 7m
Cavs likely won't be factor if Bynum proves healthy enough to command multi-year deal. But hard to beat if Bynum settles for one-year pact

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 8m
Team to watch in chase for Andrew Bynum: Cleveland. Hearing Cavs not only have legit interest but can also make lucrative one-year offer

I say sign him and let him prove himself. It reminds me of the one year when the Tribe signed Juan Gonzalez to a one year $10 million dollar deal. Gonzalez ended up like batting over .300 and I believe he made the All-Star team. If he sucks, luckily it was only a one year deal and the 2014 cap space is still available. Obviously use it and try to sign LeBron. If #6 burns us again and Bynum played at an All-Star level, then use that money on him. Ideally, Bynum does well and we clear enough space or they agree to a reduced contract and we sign both of them next year.

Re: Andrew Bynum

Getting Bynum for next year would be a great signing. Low risk, very high reward.

Re: Andrew Bynum

I wish we had a Kevin Garnett type leader on this team that would tell Bynum to get his head out of ass when he needed to hear it. I think Kobe did this for Bynum and he probably hated him for it.

I'm willing to take a risk on an injured talent, I'm much less willing to take a flier on a lazy douche bag.

Re: Andrew Bynum

Im okay with Bynum for a year. its gives zeller another year to develop. They wouldnt need to rush him in. They can play him limited minutes.

It also gives Thompson a traditional big man to practice against if their serious about him playing center.

Irving Waiters Clark Varejao Bynum
Jarret Jack , Karasev, Gee Bennett Thompson

Irving Waiters Clark Bennett Bynum
Jarret Karasev Gee Varejao Thompson

etc, Cavs can go with a full 10 man rotation.

Re: Andrew Bynum

Andrew Bynum seemed to get better and better on The Office and really established himself as a factor in Los Angeles. I really took notice when he showed up in Knocked Up and Pineapple Express, but seemed to take the next step in Hot Tub Time Machine. His weight troubles me a little, but I see a big year for him in the right acting role.

Your kidding, that is a totally different guy?

Re: 2013 Bynum Safari

And with this new thread, we can all be certain that Bynum will NOT be a Cavalier. :chuckles:

Re: 2013 Bynum Safari

Well if your plan was to make sure he doesnt come here, you nailed it!

Re: 2013 Bynum Safari

I do want Bynum...but I also don't because I'm very worried about his season long injuries. If his knee(s) check out, then yes...sign him! If not, let him go to Dallas.

Re: 2013 Bynum Safari

nothing will beat the Amare Safari for me...the amount of hours i spent in that fucking thread refreshing

waiting for every bit of info or post from that wine and gold guy

Cavaliers Interested In One-Year Deal With Andrew Bynum
Jul 08, 2013 12:07 AM EDT

The Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in signing Andrew Bynum.

Bynum has also received serious interest from the Dallas Mavericks.

The Cavaliers will not offer a multi-year deal to Bynum, however, as they want to preserve cap space for 2014 and their expected pursuit of LeBron James.

The Cavaliers could offer $15 million in cap space to Bynum.

The Atlanta Hawks are the only other known suitor for Bynum, but they would prefer to sign Monta Ellis.
