2016-2017 Around The NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm not saying it doesn't hurt. just think its not the death sentence or that the pick is the worth more than anyone on the current roster.... because there is a lot of talent on the roster
Totally agreed. I think my view and your view on this are in 100% alignment.

Lord help me I've been on fire. Can't trust Kyle Lowry in the playoffs ever. Have mercy he's been dreadful and they are getting handled.

Joe Johnson with the game winner. He'd be a nice pickup if RJ were to retire after this year.

RJ said recently he plans on playing until his body can no longer cope or the cavs dont want him. I think we might have another 2 seasons at least barring injury

Take a quick look at how much money he's making.

I was thinking this season or next at most.

No I agree with you, I don't think it's realistic but a guy like him or Rudy Gay would be great if they were willing to take a pay cut for some rings.

Rudy Gay coming off an Achilles closer to 30 than Shumpert is still more intriguing than Shump himself, but for now, we gotta hope that Shump can provide something positive to the team.

Lord have mercy on anyone that ever wanted to keep Shumpert over him.

JJ willingly went to Utah in the offseason because he liked what they were building (and they gave him a shit ton of money :chuckle:). He's got a year left after this. He's not taking a paycut for a shot at a ring.

And who's to say Utah can't compete for a title next year?

Utah is good but I highly doubt they'll be competing for a title next year, especially when it's not guaranteed Hayward is staying.

Pretty sure he went just for the money, he could've chosen an immediate title contender if he wanted to win. Lucky for him, Utah turned out to be surprisingly good this year, and were probably the most underrated team during the reg season.

Rudy Gay has a player option this summer. If he opts out, I wonder what type of contract he is looking for.

Were people actually surprised Utah was good this year? They've been on a steady upswing for about four years now
