2016-2017 Around The NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I even think there's a real chance the Celtics lose in the 1st round depending on opponent unless refs keep doing their thing with Touch Fouls™
I think Miami could beat Boston pretty easily. Boston has nobody that can beat Whiteside when it comes to rebounding.

No I don't. The Warriors are going to roll over the Spurs.

Seriously - I'd be surprised if it even went seven. They just can't score enough to keep pace with GSW. I can already see Pop trying out Slo Mo Kyle Anderson on Durant like he did last year. They couldn't deal with Durant when he was surrounded mostly by non-shooters - they aren't going to have an answer for him surrounded by two of the greatest shooters ever. Also Draymond has really gotten into Aldridge's head in their recent meetings.

Damn, you were driving the Celtics train all year.

I agree, obviously.

I said the Celtics would be the 2 seed. On that I was wrong...sadly

But they can't rebound the ball and Al Horford hasn't fixed that issue at all. It will be something easily exploitable in the playoffs.

Yeah I think the Clippers may ruin everything like they always do, but I would love to see a Utah Golden State series. I really think Utah could put up a fight. They're strong in all the right areas needed to beat GSW.

I thought that too, but if the Clippers are finally healthy and locked in that might be the toughest team Golden State plays in the West.

Would be nice if MIL moved up to 5th and played Washington.

Anyone know who holds the tiebreaker between MIL and ATL?

ATL won the season series 3-1. I used the google to find this information out.

Milwaukee is locked into 6th and is already sitting everyone for tomorrow. 1 seed is gone.

The Lakers have won five straight despite blatant efforts to tank hahahaha.
Lakers have a bunch of young talent. who are winning with their vets except for Artest shut down.

Lakers are actually doing things the right way this season.
1st by surrounding their youth with a core of vets. then shutting down those vets to let the young guys play
These aren't wins that anyone in the lakers organization or its fans should be mad about

You also said they were the 2nd best team in the East and would beat Toronto rather easily. Granted, this was before Toronto got Ibaka and while the Wizards were playing like shit.

Anyway. It'd be a miracle if they made the ECF. Pretty funny considering they're a 1 seed.

I actually still do think Boston would beat Toronto.

Torontos guys just go into the tank in the postseason. All those low percentage shots start not going in for Derozan and Lowry. They found themselves a little against the Cavs last year...but before that those two shot absolutely horribly in the playoffs for multiple years in a row. I just do not trust them. I still don't.

Now, it might be foolish to trust wall and Beal more considering they haven't been there. But I guess I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that I'm not giving Lowry and derozan. If they don't see their shooting percentages plummet into the toilet in the first round this year, Ill trust Toronto a little more.

For reference, Lowry has shot 31 percent and 39 percent the last two podtseasonss.

Derozan has shot a dead even 40 percent and 39 percent.

This is why I havent respected Toronto all year and think Boston would have beaten them. Those two shrink in the playoffs.

And yet Boston's only good offensive player, Isaiah Thomas, has shot 33 percent and 39 percent.

But we won't see this matchup this year anyways.

But outside of Cavs/Pacers I could see anyone winning any of these 1st round series' in the East.
