Time to make your truly BOLD predictions. This isn't ' Jason Kipnis will hit 15 HRs', or 'Carlos Santana hits .230'. Really go out on a limb here, brush up that crystal ball, and swing for the fences.
Best Tribe starter: Josh Tomlin.
Tomlin takes full advantage of the team's new defense and ends up the team's best starter- which is obviously saying something. The whole staff takes the Next Step, carrying the Tribe through their usual early season offensive struggles and keeps them within spitting distance of the division lead.
Lonnie Chisenhall is DFAd by June.
His defense may be his offense, but he goes into a classic Chisenhall dry spell and gets benched. Plus it turns out that he is a good defender, but simply not the 2nd best defensive LFer in baseball, and not nearly so awesome that you ignore that he hits like a pitcher. The last straw is when...
Bradley Zimmer makes Big League debut in June.
Team dumps Chisenhall to promote Zimmer. He immediately takes a regular spot, winning over fans with his all around game and winning smile. Sets himself up beautifully to have assinine expectations from causal fans for 2017.
Tribe steals division with monster August and April
The team finds another gear in August, as an inspirational event puts them into overdrive. The team suddenly feels invincible when...
Brady Aiken sparks the team down the stretch.
The minor leagues are for kids and Jeff Manto, and not the reincarnation of Bob Feller's arm. Aiken steps right out of his rehab in the Iowa cornfields to make his debut in August and never looks back- fulfilling his destiny.
