Any way you spin it, this is still a loss. Reliable switch hitters with high OBP don’t grow on trees, and our lineup is now missing a veteran bat with power potential...especially if we lose Jay Bruce as well.

I agree...the Indians have taken a huge hit so far...dont want to hear how they'll cakewalk into the playoffs....our lineup was weak last year in my opinion and its even weaker now...Matt Addams my ass

Nothing unravels faster than the RCF Indians forum when something bad happens.....

Sucks to lose Santana but the Indians weren't paying $20M a season-- just wasn't gonna happen.

AL Central is a joke. The Indians win the division by double digit games with the roster as it stands today.
 
Indians only were considering trading Kipnis if they signed Santana/Bruce.
Kipnis likely stays now.

Indians want Austin Jackson back. Upton is insurance if he prices himself out.

Giants just moved Matt Moore to TEX. SF is trying to get/stay under the luxury tax. I'd make a call on Brandon Belt if I'm Antonetti.....

Definitely need AJax back. Can see the Tribe trying to integrate Brantley over at first base. Chisenhall can play there too if need be.

It may be Pence they would trade and if we get him for nothing, I’ll take him as one of my bench guys, but that’s my guess if we make a trade with San Fran
