Yo man, this is like your 3rd or 4th post like this. I'm not salty at all about Kyrie leaving. I'm pissed off at the trolling on the forum, and if you continue this you're going to get banned.

It's fine being a fan of another team/player not on this team here, but trolling is trolling.

Some of the best posters here aren't Cavs fans (@ACisKING comes to mind). I don't understand what would compel someone to troll on a message board. Its... weird.

I'll admit, I have trolled on opposing teams forums before. Of course, I was 14 at the time. :chuckle:

Anyone else catch this Sacramento Kings cowbell schtick during timeouts?

Just awful....

Yeah I'm watching Kings/Nuggets 4th quarter blowouts at midnight...no I don't want your therapists number. Jokic baby!!!

It's super early so this means nothing..but no one would have predicted Indiana would be the early leaders in that Paul George trade.

And it isn't because George has been bad, but both Oladipo and Sabonis have been really good.

I still think that OKC came out ahead in that trade, honestly. Dipo and Sabonis have looked great but I still think PG's talent is a bigger value, the problem is that Billy Donovan still hasn't figured out how to properly utilize it.

How so? they aren't good enough to beat GSW and they are porbably going to break the team up next year. It's a 1 year thing and they don't look nearly as ready. Kanter and McDermott look fantastic on the Knicks aswell and Melo doesn't fit.

Tough choice, but they are headed into nothingness starting next season.

I don't necessarily disagree with that, but then realistically what were they supposed to do? All things being equal there probably isn't any move they could make to ensure beating the Warriors. Getting PG for that package was a move in the right direction, I absolutely think it made them better from a talent perspective. By doing that trade they show Westbrook that they are committed to trying to get better moving forward, and it probably played a big part in signing Russ to that 5 year deal. What is the alternative? Do nothing and all but ensure that Russ leaves next year? The Thunders issue isn't with the Paul George trade, I still think that was probably the best move they made this off season. The issue is getting their shit fit, which they haven't been able to do so far, and I think that extends far beyond Paul George, tbh.

The Paul George trade was a good move for OKC, I still stand by that. The Melo trade and how he is being utilized? that's another story.

Indiana did fine if they’re okay with the treadmill of mediocrity because that’s exactly what that trade got them.

I guess they have a “no tanking” rule. Good luck to them I suppose.

Though, Gary Harris is a damn good player and they could have had him and a lotto pick to grab a guy like Donovan Mitchell who has star potential. I personally still think that’s a way better deal. I like Sabonis but I think his ceiling is rotation big on a team.

As somebody who is transitioning into ‘get off my lawn guy’ in regards to the way I view modern day sports — must admit I’m enjoying some of the young blood of today’s nba...

Granted I hate having 8 jerseys per team, both teams wearing road jerseys at home, constant replays, sponsors etc... however, disassociating with the headband and tats era and ridding the league of guys like Darius Miles, Steve Francis, JailBlazers and many countless others that contributed to a combination of F-u-Pay-me mentality (basically what the NFL is going thru now) all the while having little talent and the inability to learn team basketball has really done the league good... Honestly I think we can partially thank the Warriors for this...

Even tho it’s still a younger product and the players are still one and done at school— some of these young guys are coming in far more polished and skilled and really buying into a team concept...

Liking it...

The Melo trade and how he is being utilized? that's another story.

When is it ever going to be Melo's fault for not making a team / system / utilization of him work?

Been hearing excuses by apoligists for him since he stepped foot into the league.

His teams could win one game a month and still would be always someone else's fault.

Phil Jackson wasn't even coaching and still got all the blame for that Knicks team.

Oh believe me, I am far from a Melo apologist, but Melo didn't trade himself, OKC actively went for him. Melo is what he is and everyone should know that by now, OKC bringing him on when they already have two ball dominant perimeter players is on them.

As for Phil, he may not have been sitting on the bench but he was extremely hands on with regards to how the team was supposed to play and he was obviously very actively interacting with the players on the team. That guy dug his own grave and he will get no sympathy from me.

Maybe because he forces the coach to run an outdated system the roster didn’t even fit around? Had a high spread Pnr coach forcing the triangle to a high spread PnR team...

Just go watch the Knicks play his year. Getting rid of Phil (and Melo to a lesser extent) turned them around completely.

I think the NBA should rename missed shot to 'Lonzo'

He's 1-88 right now
