2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Lakers have been one of the most fucked up organizations since their last championship run.

Lonzo Ball might not be Anthony Bennett bad, but he's looking pretty bad as a draft selection, especially in a draft that was so fucking good.

Doesn't even matter that he's a triple-double threat, which I think kinda overrated in basketball anyways.

Can't justify being this fucking lousy and liability as a shooter. He's historically all-time, awful.

His TS% is 38%. Holy fuck. :chuckle: God he's awful.

Any comparisons?

"Triple double" has become a punchline virtually overnight...Russ should sue Lonzo for all he's got :chuckle:

I've said this before, but Lonzo plays like rookie Boris Diaw in Atlanta. He has some great size for a guard with that type of defensive presence and vision for passing, but he's also a high usage player who shouldn't have the ball in his hands so often without the scoring ability to go with it. After four seasons or so, Diaw became a decent scorer and shooter.

With just about every NBA team playing tonight, I'm strangely excited for Kings vs. Lakers. Fox vs. Ball is going to be fun.

And LAL don't have another PG other than rookie Josh Hart. Lonzo is really their only PG. Clarkson handles the ball a lot but he's really a scoring SG. Lonzo is their only consistent set up man.

The injuries are really starting to pour down on the league right now.

millsap- Wrist surgery

Beverly- knee surgery

DLo-Knee surgery

Boston obviously had the worst injury (maybe Lin’s knee will end up being the true worst one). But have been pretty healthy otherwise.

Of course the Warriors are waltzing through. KD sprains his vag and misses one or two games here or there..Curry to but nothing serious.

Can’t belive Kawhi hasn’t played yet and SA is 11-6.

Hopefully the longer season will help in the long run.

Feel real bad for Beverly: he's a real warrior and not many guys like him who will go all out on D every possession.
Clips had a fun thing going with Beverly and Teodosic and now they're both hurt: they looked like a surprise team in the early going

Imagine trying to convince people a month ago that before long the Clippers would be envious of the Knicks' point guard situation :chuckle:

The Rockets are just going to boat race a ton of teams. They absolutely look like the biggest and possibly only legit threat to GS atm.

HOU doesn't have the horses. and their back court is too small.

OKC is the only team with enough talent/length, but idk if Billy can stagger his rotations well enough to win 4 games

and fuck KD

Too small to what? Harden is more physically imposing than either Steph or Klay. I don't understand why they'd need a big backcourt?
