2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I really like Eric Moreland, had a great game for the Pistons SL today

How is it that Iggy only can fetch 15 million a year for 3 years and Ryan fucking Anderson can pull 20 million

And Jeff fucking Teague gets 19 million a year.

Iggy is a premier 3 and D wing. Of course no one throws insane money at him. Gotta save the premier money for Evan Turner am I right?!

If Iggy goes back to GSW for 15 million per year in this league environment it's a fucking steal. I'm shocked no one threw 20 million plus at him (or at least that it hasn't been reported)

It's his age. Anderson is still in his 20s. So is Teague. Iguodala is 33.

I thought JR money was just about right for him, and he's slightly above that per year.

It's funny I almost tagged you in that post to see what you thought his market value would be.

Color me surprised. I really thought Iggy would have no issue getting a multi year 20 million per offer. Yeah the last year of that deal might sting a little but that's 2 years of pretty damn good play out of a true 2 way player.

If San Antonio offered him 4 years at just slightly less than what Golden State is offering, I think he's going. His next contract, if there even is a next contract, won't be close to this number.

This is a case where that extra year could be huge; you're correct there.

Would be a huge steal. He would fit so nicely into that Spurs system.

Have to think the Spurs knew when they went into the meeting with all of the tax implications golden state would be hard pressed to give Iggy that 4th year. Hope they offered it.

I'd like to see what SA offered, because what I didn't say, in order to not bring down the hope, was that offering a 33 year old 4 guaranteed years is not a San Antonio type of move.

Well, the dream is over

Honestly with the core of GSW back if we can't get Melo for scraps I'm now in favor of keeping Cedi no matter what. And making an effort to get younger.

Load up for when they ultimately break up in 2 years and pray for an injury. But stop cashing in every young asset we have for the old man korvers of the world right now.

LeBron will be turning 35 in 2 years...

This is fucking depressing.

So you start figuring out if you can tailor the team around Kyrie, and making moves with a long-term view instead of a right this very second view.

Players coulda stopped it, they wanted the money all at once, so now they live with one team dominating for a few years.

Fuck Kevin Pritchard.

Only bad things his way.

San Antonio is playing the long game btw. They could unload Danny Green at any moment and throw down a huge chunk of change at Kyle Lowry. But they look at that group and properly conclude that's not good enough.

Chris Paul might have been. But Lowry wouldn't be. So why strap yourselves right now when you can position to strike in two years.

I would love for the Spurs to get Derrick Rose on a bargain. If Pop can get him to play at the pace Tony Parker used to play at, he could be dangerous once again. They gotta find a way to unload Aldridge to be legit though in my opinion.
