I was watching Minnesota last night, appalled by how little KAT and to a lesser extent Wiggins have progressed as players. KAT might be the worst defensive big in the league, which is disgraceful given his physical talent. Made me consider how fortunate the likes of Jaylen Brown and Tatum are to be at a strong team early in their career, learning good habits in a situation that values winning basketball.
Too many talented rookies get stuck on awful teams for the first few years of their career. Gives them the opportunity to play, but I wonder if someone like Devin Booker is really improving as a player stuck in that mess in Phoenix. Brings me back to KAT and Wiggins, only now with Butler and Taj Gibson does it look as if they are being held accountable for their bad habits.
Of course Booker goes for 46 a few hours after this post.
