2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Cousins was mad because he was embarrassed. -32 in 32 minutes. Just completely overmatched.
for the posters begging the Nets pick is traded for Cousins, this game was about the worst thing that could have happened. Clear as day Cousins wouldnt help this team against the warriors

Are you kidding?

In the two games against GSW he managed to get Durant and Green ejected.

If getting himself, along with one of the Big Four, ejected during each game of the Finals was all he did it would be enough to ensure a Cavs title.

Get off your hands, Ferry!

I dunno. If he hadn't put in enough minutes to dig a -32 hole first, then maybe, yeah. He would need to get ejected really early to be a net positive, I think. But doing it after all the damage has been done... like I said, I dunno.

Curry's X-Ray come back as Negative. Will have MRI today I suspect. wonder if it will be bad and how warriors play without him during the time he misses.

'Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry on Tuesday will undergo an MRI on his injured right ankle, which remains very swollen, league sources told Yahoo Sports.'

Even if the MRI comes back clean, that’s a very interesting development to watch this season.

It’s no secret Steph has bad ankles. He’s been very fortunate the last few years to be basically fully healthy. One bad sprain can derail an entire season with the right amount of bad luck.

Gimpy Curry = Cavs championship. I’ll stand by that statement.

Only downside is Warriors only play twice the rest of this week , and only twice again next week. All 4 teams they should beat without curry anyway.

If Curry misses more than a month , then Houston Could potentially get some gap on warriors for top seed.

Don’t even care about that stuff. Mainly
thinking this could make him prone to more ankle problems all year

Eh, disagree. Davis wasn't playing so their real focus to shut down was Cousins. You'd allow Jrue to drop 34 on you anyday if it means Cousins isn't dominating the game. On a team with LeBron, Love, Thomas and Wade - for the price of Tristan, Shumpert and a pick that could fall within the top 10... Cousins would look incredible on this team. Hell, it would still allow Love to play his inside game because I'd probably trust Cousins more as a shooter than Crowder at this point.

Following the Warriors regulars season record is kinda pointless to me at this point. We're still early in the season and they're good enough that I don't think there are any teams that will be able to hang with them in the playoffs due to where their seeding ends up. The injuries and DNP's are interesting however, because I think it's the first time in the last 4 years that I can remember their top guys missing so many games. Some of this is probably down to Kerr being cautious and knowing where his bread is buttered, but there is something to be said for them maybe starting to crumble under the wear and tear a bit. Even if that in and of itself doesn't translate into regular season losses, it could be something to pay attention to going into the playoffs.

They are still by far the most talented team in the league and they are tremendously well coached and constructed, but if there are any chinks in the armor to look after their health might be the one thing that you can point out.

Steph wears special custom made ankle braces reinforced just for him. While his ankle turns may look bad as the next man He has better support than anybody in the game.

The bigger deal isn't that Steph will stay hurt all season. I doubt it.

The bigger deal is Houston getting the 1 seed. He's out for a while? Houston goes from challenging for the 1 seed to being expected to get it.

And even bigger, we could pass GS in the standings and potentially have HCA in the finals.

I still think Warriors beat anyone in west , home court or not... but it will be tougher to beat Houston if they haven't got home court. And they will have to play maybe spurs in 2nd round which again will be tough aslong as they are fully fit.
