2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Also, how did the Timberwolves lose Ricky Rubio and then end up paying 19M/year for Jeff Teague? They're dumb as fuck.

They should have gone after George Hill.

Hill, Wiggins, Butler, Gibson, KAT? That's a 52 win team with a chance at making the conference finals in a best case scenario.

Yikes.

It sucks that Hinkie was jettisoned. He is the one that set them up with Embiid, Simmons, Covington, Saric and others. Yes Noel and Okafor didn't pan out, but overall, the process was brilliant and I think the Colangelo will end up(if he hasn't already) limiting just how incredible of a team Hinkie could have put together, with an owner who was willing to be patient until the NBA stepped in behind the scenes and put the pressure on to make a "win the press conference splash" and hire a basketball lifer.

FWIW, once Fultz gets his shoulder right, I really think he's a top notch prospect and a perfect fit around Embiid and Simmons. He's in that Brad Beal with a better handle mold, IMO. Embiid as the #1 option, Simmons as the primary playmaker, and Fultz as the shooter with the ability to get his own shot in crunch time? Has big time potential especially with a guy like Covington and Reddick to be 3nD.

IDK why they're trying to change his shot though....he was a good shooter without change. That makes no sense.

Gonna pop on this Pelicans/Trailblazers game.

Should be a good game no matter what but I must admit I have been keeping an extra close eye on Cousins this year because of that Brooklyn pick. I'm against trading it for him as of now, but I wont rule it out. Cousins is a really truly amazing player. I wish it wasn't so risky....but then again that's the only reason he may even be available.

If the George/Love trade went through and Kyrie still asked out....and we had LeBron/George/Thomas and the Brooklyn pick...i think I'd probably be a lot more interested in Cousins. Hate the fit with Love though. Not necessarily offensively, but against GS defensively I just don't see how either guy can play big mins at the 4 against KD

There's a dropoff from George to Oladipo, but it's definitely not as big as the media makes it out to be.

Merge the Blazers and the Pelicans. Can you beat the Warriors?

Blake just tea bagged Gobert

Man, I tried to tell you guys about Sabonis.

Pritchard wont look all that bad by mid-season.

It's a weird and super pre-mature thing to say...and not to over-react to anything this early..

but I think there's a chance that the main person deserving of a sideways glance after this season might end up being Paul George.

Would be a challenge as far as defending GS. I guess you put Cousins on Green and Love on Igoudala, if he's in, but then LeBron has to guard Klay I guess. Not sure, obviously it's not ideal (I'm assuming Crowder on Durant). We would have to be sure that Cousins can dominate inside against the Warriors to make that trade.

Please explain the sideways glance? As in he's not performing as thought? Or he's unhappy in OKC with Melo jacking up tons of shots?

I think IBWT's sideways glance is for him not making teammates better, if Indiana goes on to have a similar or better season than last year.

The Pacers haven't finished worst than 10th place since 1985. Making the playoffs isn't a stretch for them.
