Don't forget Jon. That one got the first Kyrie thread locked forever. It was blamed on the people who criticized Kyrie though and none of the people perpetuating the arguments were blamed at all.

Still waiting for that debate to start....

Eh, ill just say this. I think its unfair to conclude that just because ty criticizes Kyrie means he's also blaming him for losses. I criticize him too, but my criticism of other players is found in other threads. So is ty's. On the other hand, there is a difference in saying Harden is better overall but not a better fit for this team. I don't think I agree with that, but there is merit. Giannis is better too, but I'm not sure putting a LeBron like player next to LeBron is the best way to go about constructing a team, particularly when he can't shoot 3s. I don't think either side is allowing for any nuance in the others argument where it obviously does exist.

But carry on. I think we can all see the lock coming from a mile away at this point.

That's not why I'm arguing that Ty is blaming Kyrie for losses. That's what Ty is saying, but that's not my argument at all..

Is it really important though? I mean.. neither one of us wants to be talking about this..

I don't disagree with what you're saying..

And FWIW, I highly doubt this thread will get locked because someone decided to throw a tantrum.

As I said.. it's just not that deep and I'm tired of the back and forth.. it's exhausting..

I'm in agreement with Giannis. Harden on the other hand is both a better player and a better fit because he does shoot threes and he can run an offense at an elite level with the same type of role players LeBron plays with. No more having to worry about the ship sinking once LeBron sits and having the constantly over play him.

I think @Rich can be the mediator of this thread. Too bad it isn't a paying gig.

Kyrie shoots threes.. He's a better three point shooter than James Harden.

and he can run an offense at an elite level with the same type of role players LeBron plays with.

But LeBron isn't a role player.

No more having to worry about the ship sinking once LeBron sits and having the constantly over play him.

And the playoffs?

I think @Rich can be the mediator of this thread. Too bad it isn't a paying gig.

Shouldn't be required....

@gourimoko Why is it me that's throwing the tantrum when you're the one that uses crude language, posts inappropriate content, frames the person for all sorts of unfavorable charecteristic trates.

You claim you're tired of this, but you never cease to show up at the slightest hint of criticism aimed at Kyrie. And when they rebutte you kick it up a notch by assinating character; And then you're the one that questions why it's become personal when you're the one that instigated.

So far I'm a liar, disingenuous, a complainer, whinner, hostile. I guess I should count my lucky starts that I'm not a racist.

Reactions: Jon
Harden shot threes at a .39 clip years ago when surrounded by stars. I see no reason why his three point shooting wouldn't go up when he has to take less step back off the bounce.

The ability to play so well with our role players would ensure a fresher LeBron and lower margin for error in the playoffs when he sits.

This is exactly what I'm talking about when you use multiquote to redefine the argument or misrepresent it. I never said LeBron is a role player and I went into detail why it would be good to have him with both LeBron on and off the court. It's a cheap parlor trick you do to ensure the argument goes in circles when you then blame other people for the state of the Kyrie thread.

..stop..

Okay. But given that, I see no reason to believe Harden is as good of three point shooter as Irving is today.

The ability to play so well with our role players would ensure a fresher LeBron and lower margin for error in the playoffs when he sits.

How have you come to calculate this?

What if the Cavs simply accept the losses towards the end of the season and rest LeBron regardless... Seems like you'd get the exact same result.

This is exactly what I'm talking about when you use multiquote to redefine the argument or misrepresent it.

And we're back to me now?

I never said LeBron is a role player and I went into detail why it would be good to have him with both LeBron on and off the court.

I'm not saying you called LeBron a role player..

I'm pointing out that Harden + role players has nothing to do with Harden + LeBron and Kevin Love. Harden running the second unit is great, but that's got nothing to do with winning a championship in the playoffs.

It's a cheap parlor trick you do to ensure the argument goes in circles when you then blame other people for the state of the Kyrie thread.

And we're back to me now.....

If you're saying that I didn't say LeBron is a role player then I why did you quote something that wasn't even a complete sentence and then state "but LeBron isn't a role player."

"he can run an offense at an elite level with the same type of role players LeBron plays with."

"But LeBron isn't a role player."

Meaning: Harden will be on the floor with LeBron, he needs to integrate with both James and Love; thus, his ability to play with role players is not as relevant given the whole point of James being in Cleveland is to win championships, not regular season games with Harden as a glorified backup PG.

p.s.
You wanna play games and talk about mofos being called racists; then that tells me everything I need to know about you. I'm done. So if you wanna continue to get personal, take the shit to PM and we can have it out. Otherwise you're just making a scene in public and for what? Nobody, and I mean nobody wants to read this back and forth.... You know that right?

So keep it on basketball, don't say shit about me and I won't say shit about you.

What happens? People criticize Irving? When is an ok time to criticize him so that it isn't annoying?
