Kyrie Irving reportedly prefers to play for the L.A. Clippers http://slam.ly/kyrie-clippers

2:08 PM - Aug 11, 2017

If he had told us he wanted to be Traded just a week earlier he would be in LA already.

Kyrie for CP3 + another decent Piece + Pick (Remeber how much older CP3 is..)

I'm sure Kyrie realized this. Ego wise I'm sure he wasn't too keen on watching CP3 swap in here and the team not miss a beat in terms of getting to the Finals.

Maybe but then he'd be even dumber than i am growing to think....

If he was so damn desperate to get away from Lebron then you cant be so damn picky.. If he keeps lowering his Trade value our FO might say "screw it we keep him for now until we can get a good haul back" ... He is risking his plan with every negative tidbit that comes out..

I don't believe the story for one; but even if it were true, it doesn't mean that he wanted to play for the Clippers to begin with... I actually doubt that's true, even though that'd be a pretty good situation for him.

I was just thinking (stewing) on my long flight. The Cavs have already proven they can beat Eastern Conference playoff teams with KI not even speaking to teammates. Might as well keep him until the deadline and get a Kings ransom for him from a team in need.

I'd see how desperate LA would be for Kyrie.

CLE IN: Jordan, Beverly, Williams, Dekker
LAC IN: Kyrie, Shump, Frye

That's a salary match. The question is do the Cavs want a completely win now trade?

That's what the above is vs. the mix of assets (Suns) that gives us a moderate safety net.

TT + Kyrie + Shump for DeAndre + CP3.

That would have been the ideal trade. :(

I just don't see DeAndre as a valuable asset with his flaws vs strengths in today's NBA. He can play defense and be a anchor sure he can get rebounds great but he cant finish games. He can't provide anything on offense outside of catching lobs. If we are trading Kyrie and don't get a star quality player or a potential future star I just don't see the point.

I'm amazed at how much people underrated Jordan.

Does he have a limited offensive game? Sure but he's one of the only true C's in the league that can play against GSW.

He's a 11-12 W/S player......he's INCREDIBLY impactful on the game.

He'd also operate in an amount of space on offense he has never had.

You could put LeBron, Jordan and shooters out there in the P&R.....how the hell could you possibly stop that?

My only hangup on Dj is his contract situation. I'd have to have an extension to pull the trigger but Jordan would be incredible with LeBron and the spacing we have.

Beverly would be a nice guy to plug our point guard hole when Kyrie leaves.

Our identity would completely change, but I don't view that as a negative.

If you can get some intensity out of LeBron a defensive line-up of Beverly, JR, Green, LeBron, Jordan would be pretty damn legit.

Agreed but we would need another playmaker/scoring threat on the perimeter even after that deal.

That's the real value of Kyrie, when the chips are down and you need a bucket, in tight games his ISO skills are huge.

Can't put that whole burden on LBJ.

How can he play for the Clippers? It is a known fact that the edge of the earth is only 27 miles away from the Staples Center, he'll probably freak out playing so close to the edge of the earth and do something crazy
