Agreed but we would need another playmaker/scoring threat on the perimeter even after that deal.

That's the real value of Kyrie, when the chips are down and you need a bucket, in tight games his ISO skills are huge.

Can't put that whole burden on LBJ.
I'd love to turn Kyrie into Beverley and Bradley.

Can you imagine the hell that would wreak on opposing back courts? Along with a locked-in LBJ our perimeter penetration percentage (I like alliteration, fuck a duck) would be sliced to a fraction and would take a big burden off our uber-soft front court.

With JR off the bench, I like the identity of that team...would be nasty.

Add any kind of decent paint protector who can handle switching on P&R and we'd have our defensive dream team. IDK who that guy would be off the top of my head, but any legit big to upgrade TT with fewer liabilities. I'm over TT, trade him to the Kardashians.

Some are tired of me saying it, but: BIYOMBO. Does everything TT does while blocking shots at an elite level.

ORL would probably deal him to us straight up.

Isn't that what we signed Rose for? Rose is pretty damn close to Kyrie with the ISO skills (at least in short bursts). Granted he can't do it full time, but it seems to me he would be the perfect offensive compliment to a defensive focused PG in Beverly. Love would have to pick up some of the scoring slack with the 1st unit, but I see no reason that can't happen as well. I honestly think a lot of the reason it didn't before was just the split ball dominance of Lebron and Kyrie. This would now be solved. Rose can be the scoring off the bench with Korver as the outlet shooter.

^I'm with you that Love could definitely carry more scoring burden. In fact it might sound crazy but there were times I felt the 2 man game with him and Lebron as the featured offensive options worked better..meaning the team as a whole functioned better

Rose cant shoot from 3 and is not near as good at the stop and pop. Without Kyrie I expect Love to take over offensively.
It seemed clear to me that Love would defer when both Ky and Bron were on the floor. When Love did score he turned into a much better aggressive player. That is the Love that I want to see. He is the second option now, I want to see him demand the ball and take over. Like that 34pt first quarter he put on display. Gotta release the beast.

I can't see any scenario where a 3 team Cavs/Clippers/Pistons trade makes sense. Someone is getting the shaft in that scenario, and usually its us.

Yeah its almost like you are splitting Kyrie into Rose and Love offensively. Rose takes over the inside slasher scoring, and Love takes over the outside scoring (with JR and Korver adding more as well). Basically we are asking proven scorers to go back to doing more of what they have already proven they are good at. Kyrie had taken opportunities away from players like Love, JR, and Korver. They are perfectly capable of picking up the scoring slack. And if we can improve on defense it is a net gain.

We can also make a lot more use of Love's post up scoring. Love absolutely should (and we need him to) return to his old self and become the 2nd option in this offense if Kyrie is traded.

I think we could exploit Detroit in a trade. Imagine a scenario where they give us Stanley Johnson and a couple picks in addition; you don't think the Clippers would take that for Beverley?

I'm sure the Clippers are ecstatic to have Beverley, but with Lou Williams and Austin Rivers I don't think he's somebody they'd be reluctant to deal.

But our options so far as they pertain to beating Golden State seem to come down to two things: Keep Kyrie kicking and screaming and employ the same strategy of trying to outgun them (and with a couple more threats off the bench in Rose and Green, some may see that as a viable route) or, get rid of Kyrie and overhaul our identity completely. We can still be a potent 3-point shooting team but we can be a tough, gritty, hard-nosed ensemble also that can bully-ball them.

I like that notion, mostly because it already worked once before.
When we won the championship it was in large part because Ky and Bron bullied Curry and Thompson.
I cant remember how many times Bron trucked over Curry..Why do you think Curry still hates him?...Cause he remembers that shit.
Personally I would love to have a guy like Avery or even Beverly. Their defense would terrorize GS.

I'll admit, Deandre Jordan is a beast. He carried the olympic team, while Cousins looked like a bum. Cousins was just plain garbage in the olympics. But my concern with a deal like this is that A. Having Thompson and Jordan both on our team would make us the worst free throw shooting team in the league. B. Even though our defense improves tremendously, we still get significantly older since Jordan and Beverly are both 29. This is clearly a win now move. maybe Rose carries some of the offensive load, but aside from LBJ and Rose, we would have no other creators. So I guess my stance is that even though Jordan is a better center now... I still prefer Drummond simply because of his age. I also like the selection of other possible players who could be thrown in with Drummond, such as Reggie Jackson, Avery Bradley, Tobias Harris and Stanley Johnson. The Clippers simply don't have enough assets to offer for a fair return on Kyrie's value, at least not unless they are giving up Blake Griffin in exchange for Thompson and Frye lol

Agreed. I'd prefer the younger, Drummond, over Jordan. I also believe that Detroit has more to offer in a trade than the Clippers do.

DJ is really a lot better than Drummond, especially for us. Drummond is still full of potential but he's not even close as a defender, has a bad attitude and thinks hes a focal point of an offense where as DJ has been more than willing just to play his role at an elite level. ( TT on steroids without the good looks)

Reggie jackson would also be beyond a disaster. He is beyond a diva.

Avery bradley is definitely high on my list of players league wide id like to bring in. Tobias i also really like but havent looked into his contract situation.

Three team trade would be nice but id be content with DJ, Beverly and Lou williams for kyrie shump and frye or something. Gives us much better defense and depth than last season. I am however very firmly set on win now with no eye for the future so i would see how guys lookign to future/worried bout bron leaving wouldnt like that trade.

Lebron would have to score 55 a game. K-Love is will not make up for the loss of Ky as much as people are saying he should blow up more with Kyrie gone, he will remain who he was. And Derrick Rose is a broken down vet who shows some flashes but is not the same guy.

Our coach is also very fond of Iso-Ball. I think I would puke if this trade happened, it would be like Lebron the first time he was here. Just him dribbling down the court, him standing there for 20 seconds, then heaving a shot. We NEED a playmaker on offense for Kyrie, if that can be packaged with key defensive guy(s) that would be awesome.
