I was with you until this. This dude's team just went to three straight NBA Finals, winning one and was well on his way to be going to a 4th straight. He truly just gave one of the single best examples of valuing personal accolades and/or accomplishments over the team accolades/accomplishments.

Yes.

But I can't blame him for that. Was he selfish? Yes.

But I would be lying if I said I didn't understand his point of view!

And I think the weird, bi-polar nature of the regular season Cavs will be gone with Kyrie's departure. I think it was his moodiness and mercurial nature more so than LeBron's that made them a Jekyll and Hyde team so infuriating to watch the majority of the time.

Interesting you say that. I watch tons of body language, watch the bench (how I watch the commercials are not televised, I watch them interact on the bench), and try to notice the small things. What I see is a gigantic man-baby in Lebron James, if something happens he doesn't like he has temper tantrum, he yells, screams, and berates his own teammates. All of this in front of the world, his other teammates, and the opposing team. All of the team gets so embarrassed by it they pretend like it's not going on and look the other way, and the person being crapped on does that too. It's like walking on egg-shells at times. I think this issue is what caused everything to fall apart. You can only take so much abuse from someone that is suppose to be your equal on a "TEAM". Especially after winning a ring, Kyrie just said fuckit- winning is not more important than self-respect.

It's always that w/James. Taking the good (great, really) with the bad (tends to be annoying, though in the end, tolerable). I think what probably rubs guys (Irving and Love) wrong is that Lebron can be demonstrative for sins he commits with some frequency (lackadaisical play on defense, taking a lazy shot in the offense, letting the ball stick).

I saw the same poor body language in a regular season game back in 2015/2016 (a home W v Hornets where I had lucked into court side seats). Obviously they righted the ship (at the last possible moment in most historic of fashions) but I remember thinking it a bad sign for a team ramping up for a title run.

This entire Lebron run has been kind of that way. Peaks and valleys. The title makes it worth it (I think?) but it's been not a ton of fun. In an odd way, it was more exciting the first time around when I was naive enough to think Lebron could get them to, and win the finals with Shaq and Mo. The drama since 2014 has all been tired. It's never felt like this team has had each other's backs. It's hard to place because they are so much better than the next team in the East and most teams in the west.

I miss needing to get home in time to catch the 7 PM tip, needing to plan the weekend around the games and needing to plan the vacation around the playoffs. Having what amounts to a 5-7 game season in June v a Warriors team you seem outflanked by is kind of a bummer.. and it shouldn't be that way as a fan of what amounts to a historically good to great NBA team with a transcendent talent in his prime (or darn close to his prime)

When will this thread just die? He gone.

So is his beard now, too.

He looks like a teenager again.

What a weird dude. Preaches how mature he's become, then questions Max's knowledge because he hasn't watched as much basketball as Kyrie. Dances around questions, refuses to say LeBron's name.... he tries so hard to sound smart and like he's some deep thinker to the media.. just strange

He sounds like a brainwashed idiot. Not one of those videos came across like he was an intelligent human being. To me it sounds like he knew he was on the table, and was very unprofessional about it. Its the name of the game, if you are not the best player...your team will shop you.

I appreciate everything he did for us. It was a fun ride, but the more he talks; the more I am glad he's gone. I cant help but feel he was a quiet cancer in the locker room. If you put every story together, and every rumor of a riff, insert Kyries name and suddenly shit makes sense.

"Fit In, Fit Out", tell me that doesnt sound like it applies to a bat shit crazy PG who things he's smarter than everyone else.

LeBron leaving made sense, the decision was in poor taste. This is so much worse. You have a championship team and you walked away from it to be a 3rd or 4th seed in the East.

NSFW:
What a cunt. I hope he breaks his leg on opening night so we as fans can applaud above his lifeless corpse. You have wronged King James. Have fun dealing with his wrath. He will stay around in this league for three things: Rings, All Time Scoring Record, and to make sure this punk ass bitch never sniffs another finals.

Drederick Irving, I hope you and your punk ass ho of a son fail miserably at everything you do.

Said it before and I'll say it again

The guy has been mambad. That was his favorite player growing up.

Guys making a fool of himself on first take. Looks so uncomfortable. Has no charm and charisma.

This guy comes across like someone who dropped out of college after 1 year and maybe really didnt go to class much in that year who maybe heard a few big words in some of the lectures he did attend or maybe in the dorm elevator and uses them incorrectly but who is being told by his Dad that he needs to leave Cleveland to get away from Lebron's shadow because maybe Lebron needs the ball too.

Kyrie Irving goes after max Keller man

Lol dude is softer than tissue paper

Notice he doesn't go after Stephen a

Bitch as muthafucka

The guy comes across as perhaps not committed to winning a championship so much as showing he remembers a few big words and wants to score a lot of points and develop his brand and be happy.
