Here's thing about Kyrie's shot. It was so great

that everyone forgot just how awful his shot the next finals (which probably still would have kept it a series) was

Such a horrible possession that never gets talked about enough. Had the ball with 45 seconds on the clock. Enough time for a two for one. We're down just 1 point.

The truth is Kyrie was VERY reckless at the end of game 7 in the finals as well. He just so happen to hit the biggest shot in some time so all is forgiven. But yea as great of a shot that was I still shake my head to this day on what Kyrie was doing/thinking on that play.
And LeBron let Durant pull up for 3 while we're up 2.

Korver missed a wide fucking open three from the corner.

Etc etc.

The entire team choked that game away.

Look, I'm not going to act like Kyrie isn't playing well.

But his team is, by a wide margin, the best defensive team in the league, and that's not due to him. It's due to literally everyone else.

He's still not a top 10 player and he still shouldn't be in the MVP discussion, but is because that's what happens when a player changes teams and that team does well. It's the one situation where everyone just kinda ignores individual play.

But he's 8th in RPM, and is ahead of LeBron even.

Now, I don't think the stat tells us everything, nor should it be looked as the lone criteria.

But, Kyrie's low RPM in the past, was used against him on this board. So, now that's up in the top-10. We can't go both ways on it.

I don't think he's MVP either, BTW, never did.

But, can't argue Kyrie still isn't the Celtics more impactful player on a team with the best record though.

The MVP would easily be Harden, but the NBA season is still young.

Is like if your chick left you and found a doctor like the next day.

And he was a young gynecologist that wasn’t turned off by seeing rotten vaginas all day as a profession yet.

Durant pulling up for 3/Korver missing a shot is nothing compared to a wasted fukking possession with the game on the line. He literally killed any shot of us having a chance to take the lead in regulation.

The Cavs choked it away, but that was THE PLAY that ended that game.

Going for the 3 made no sense either unless he had a good look: we were only down 1.

Please. The game was over if Korver makes a wide open three.

We were WINNING THE GAME before LeBron stupidly sagged off KD and let him win the game.

Kyrie's play was moronic but it never should have happened. The fact we needed him to try and save the game was totally ridiculous.

It was a team choke job, period.

Kyrie hadn't made a 3 all game, but scored at will at the the rim.

I would have been ok if Kyrie missed the shot. Its just how it was handled was easily one of the worst possessions in finals history with the series on the line.

I think part of Gus's thoughts are that missed shots and Durant hitting shots happens. Kyrie's possession we didn't need for him to save the game on that shot. We were only down one with 40 seconds to go. He played that possession as ideally as the Warriors could have wished outside of TO: dragged the clock out and put up a 3 with little change to go in. Lost the two for one and then after that possession we reallly did need someone to save the game

Man klay was doing work though on that play

Crazy I barely even remember the game.

Funny how everyone here was saying that Kyrie was the best PG in the league, to now pointing out all his "flaws" while he's leading the team he was traded to, to a 18-3 record.

Some fake ass posters on here.

Still in that fantasy world...

That or the troll can't read.

All you have to do is read about Kyrie before he requested the trade and after. The exact same posters who said he was the best PG in the league are now saying he isnt that good.

I'm living in a fantasy land? A troll? IT'S IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES. Do youself a favour and actually go back and read about Kyrie before he wanted to be traded.

The delusion that you guys have is absolutely incredible. And Im the one living in a fantasy land? Jesus christ.

FWIW, I think Kyries shot is at least on the same level as Ray Rays. Was probably a “bigger” shot IMO.

Game 7, final minute. That was “it”.

Heat still had to play in and win another game to win the title. Yeah the shot made that possible but it had nothing to do with anything that happened in game 7.

That said, fuck Kyrie.

No just no. They were literally bringing out the yellow tape before Ray Allens shot. They were seconds away from giving Spurs the trophy. But yeah no way Kyrie's shot comes close to Ray Allens step back from the offensive board. Just absolutely incredible piece of mind to do what he did.
