All you have to do is read about Kyrie before he requested the trade and after. The exact same posters who said he was the best PG in the league are now saying he isnt that good.

I'm living in a fantasy land? A troll? IT'S IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES. Do youself a favour and actually go back and read about Kyrie before he wanted to be traded.

The delusion that you guys have is absolutely incredible. And Im the one living in a fantasy land? Jesus christ.

No just no. They were literally bringing out the yellow tape before Ray Allens shot. They were seconds away from giving Spurs the trophy. But yeah no way Kyrie's shot comes close to Ray Allens step back from the offensive board. Just absolutely incredible piece of mind to do what he did.

Greatest shot of all-time

When "The Block" is more talked about than your shot. Then your shot isn't up there with the best of the best. Ray Allen's is just on another level. The yellow tape was out. Enough said.

"The Block" is talked about more because the greatest fucking player of all-time did it.

Ray's shot to tie the game in Game 6 is a cute little piece of history but doesn't hold a candle to Kyrie's series winning shot against the "greatest team of all-time" to end a 52 year curse.

Cute piece of history? It's #1 in everyones best shots of all time. The yellow tape was out and they had the Spurs Championship merch in the hallways. You literally can't be more clutch than that. The Game was over! There was a 0.009% chance Heat win that game.

Cute piece of history? I've never seen delusion on levels like this. Jesus christ man, pathetic. Just pathetic.

Ray Allen's shot was a better moment than Kyrie's shot in my opinion. That's no knock on Kyrie's shot, but I struggle to think of more impactful shot in any playoff series than Allen's one. For starters, Kyrie's shot was made with plenty of time left in regulation...and LeBron hit a free throw after it. I don't even think it's the most memorable clutch play from that game either (that would definitely be "The Block"). Ray Allen's shot came after the outcome was so seemingly determined that the trophy itself was being wheeled to the court and tape was being laid out for the championship celebration. The degree of difficulty on that shot was absurd...with him backpeddling, catching a pass from Bosh, finding the footing to not be out of bounds, and nailing a three to send the game into overtime. It basically saved LeBron's legacy after what had been a subpar series by his standards (though he certainly contributed to the comeback in game 6 and played out of his mind in game 7). Simply put, the Cavs might have won game 7 without Kyrie's shot, but there was absolutely no way in the world the Heat were going to win without Ray's shot.

Allen's shot happened in the flow of the game, received pass off Bosh rebound; shot off the catch. Instinct.

Irving had to produce off a play called place him in isolation with the league MVP on his court. He had to then react to the defense, determine whether to drive or take the 3 pt shot, then execute the shot with the title on the line.

Way more pressure in this scenario. Irving shot hands down.

Both are amazing in their own way :) Ray saved a championship run, Kyrie completed the biggest comeback in the history of the NBA.

Kyrie's shot is definitely better than Ray Allen's... there's no comparison. It was the go-ahead shot, with the game tied, in Oakland. Kyrie won the game, and he hit that shot in isolation.. he created it out of nothing.

I get it, Allen's was a great shot, but not better than Kyrie's. Not in importance either within the context of the game, or historically, or to their respective franchises or fan bases. Simply no comparison.... Once Kyrie hit that shot, the Cavs were playing downhill from there.. They simply had to play defense, and they did; they put everything they had into it even when it looked like both teams were dead tired..

MVP-frontrunner Kyrie Irving with a nice clunker in a loss against Detroit.

6-16 FG (37.5%)
1-6 3PT (16.7%)
5-7 FT (71.4%)
18 points
6 turnovers
... and a team worst -21.

His opponent Reggie Jackson was an efficient 7-10 with 20 points and 7 assists.

Nobody credible would ever vote for him as current MVP front-runner.

Regardless...not hating on Bos after a loss today. Detroit is a tough matchup for them. No chance at handling Drummond whatsoever.

Only thing....Marcus Smart is such a trash shooter....but somehow manages to swish these absolutely abominable 30 foot HEAVES every time the Celts need a bucket to keep a game within striking distance. I swear to god they'd be like 12-10 if Smart didn't hit these heaves in the 4th quarter of games about to get away from them....usually with a hand in his face...

Nothing angers me more than when one of those goes in. Literally want to punch something every single time.

Never underestimate the basketball hall of fame voters. They are the same group of people that refused to have a unanimous mvp many times during the 2000s, only to gift one to Curry because people didn't want to vote for LeBron again.

I still can't believe to this day that Popovich didn't have Duncan in there for that play from what I recall. I doubt Bosh gets the offensive rebound if Duncan was in there.
Leonard also missed critical FT's to ice that game. Had to be one of the closest finals of all time but that Spurs team maybe one of the most underrated in history: Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili were still close to their prime production and Leonard quietly had taken the leap into stardom. Add in a great bench: awesome team.

Funny how everyone here was saying that Kyrie was the best PG in the league, to now pointing out all his "flaws" while he's leading the team he was traded to, to a 18-3 record.

Some fake ass posters on here.

The answer to that is obvious, this is a Cavs forum and Kyrie was a Cav. He was never close to the best PG and he isn't now either.

Not to mention there were some of us who weren't blinded by Wine and Gold glasses and thought Kyrie was a good player but hardly this transcendent MVP frontrunner he's been and is being labeled as, for the Cavs or for the Celtics.
