You don't trade Kyrie unless it's for a comparable young star, like a Porzingis. Then you have to find someone to take his spot that can capably run the team. Eric Bledsoe is a guy that has been available and who the Suns are apparently motivated to move.

Butler is way better than porzingis and our window is now. If we didnt have lebron sure.

Also turning kyrie into him and Bledsoe is much more unrealistic.

Butler may be the better player now, but Porzingis should be the better player by the time he's Butler's age. Doesn't really matter though because NY isn't trading the Zinger now and Butler was already dealt.

Incredible.

We have no way to beat the Warriors because the Warriors had the two time MVP on a 12 million a year contract and were in a position to add Durant when the cap jumped 20 million. Explain how we were supposed to, under any circumstances, match that.

It would have required doing things like not keep Tristan, not keeping Shumpert.

Of course, we then dont win a title last year so....
I find it crazy when people criticize our inability to matchup with Golden State.

There is no possible way we were going to even up the playing field after they signed KD. Our only hope was that KD became a playoff choker out of nowhere and was pure shit in the finals.

Griff didn't value picks and his strategy got us a ring against a team we probably couldn't beat again even if we played that series 10 times. Nobody we drafted the last 3 years at pick 29 or 30 would have put us over the top. Its quite possible nobody we drafted there would've even played so the criticism of Griff's pick management is kind of weird to me as well.

So there's a rumour suns were gonna trade #4 and Bledsoe for Kyrie and we would have ended up with Bledsoe and Paul George.

Hmm. That would have been pretty great.

Yeah none of that rumor was true.

Christ guys can we start looking at the source on some of these things instead of just believing everything that's slopped out there

Discerning quality of people's fake sauces that no one's tasted seems sketchy. I'd ask what you're doing in a postseason discussion if you don't expect it to be full of spurious bs and unsubstantiated crap and I'm just talking the stuff coming from Windhorst ;-P

I think once this 3-on-3 league is done with it's season, we should kick the tires on Charles Oakley and Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf. You know, due diligence.

What do you guys think?

I'll hang up and listen to your response.

Is bledsoe and 4 really that far fetched for kyrie?

Non-tendered restricted free agency is an interesting market to watch for Cavs. One of the only ways to infuse some youth at possible minimum contracts.

Of interest to Cleveland so far could be KJ McDaniels and Michael Carter-Williams. McDaniels is a '2.5-and-D' guy but athletic and long. MCW can't shoot a lick but is 6'6" and a strong defender.

Two more RFAs to keep an eye on that could not be tendered.
- Reggie Bullock
- Ben McLemore
