2017 Browns Off Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lmao guys can we please stop talking about trading up to get Leonard Fournette
Nothing wrong with moving up a few spots to take a running back who is compared to Adrian Peterson, a back who comes along once every 10 or so years. He's that impressive, and he could be a franchise back for some team.

Yes, I know that running back lives are a lot shorter than most. So maybe he last 5 great years if we are lucky, but during those 5 years the Browns' offense could become something special.

I don't need to make a case for him. He's a monster and his numbers and body of work speak for themselves.

I'm not suggesting trading back into the first-round to acquire another pick and get him, I'd much rather move back into the first round to get Watson.

But if the Browns wanted to go a different route, I'd also love getting Garrett, Watson, then getting back into the first to get Hooker or Adams. The secondary desperately needs help.

Sent from my Galaxy Edge. Don't forget that the Golden State Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals.

I'll trade our next 5 2nd rounders to WAS yesterday for Captain Kirk, get off your hands Spumante Brown.

Yeah, I've heard this about approximately 12 running backs since Peterson was drafted. One of which the Browns were lucky enough to draft! But hindsight is always 20/20 so everyone always claims "but those guys it was obvious they wouldn't make it!"

He's not the next Adrian Peterson.

as an oklahoma fan. No he's not. But i do think he is a pretty good prospect

He's definitely not Adrian Peterson. I didn't say he was, either.. I said he's compared to Adrian Peterson, there is a difference.

I've watched enough of Fournette to know he's capable of being a workhorse for a franchise. He's got the tools.

Kid stays healthy, he will be one of, if not the best back in this league in a few years.

I honestly have no problem moving up a few spots still.. As long as it's reasonable.

I cant help but think JAX is gong to jump all over Fournette.

Why would anyone want to draft the next injured Adrian Peterson when you can just sign the former child beater Adrian Peterson?

(I like Fournette though, just can't see us trading up to get him. I could see us trading for a QB, though).

Maybe, but if they don't, then I think his floor is 8 with the Panthers. Still, I'm not trading-up for Fournette. As special as he may be.

I posed the trading up for Fournette scenario in response to the Crowell for a 2nd rounder talk that appears to have some legs.

If we were able to get another 2nd rounder by trading Crowell, I don't think packaging a 2nd rounder and our #12 to move up to get a player of Fournette's caliber as that awful of a move.

Do we have holes to fill across the board? Absolutely but we've lacked a talented bruising back who can be just as effective in Nov-December since Jamal Lewis' first year here.

I hear you but I just can't believe that Crow is worth a 2nd round pick. I feel like that's just absolutely off. It's not even a rumor to me. More like a rumour.

I agree with all of that. Perhaps that's why I'm conjuring up potentially hopeless ideas to turn Crowell into Fournette. Gotta love the off-season!

Precisely. Everything with him said that if he stayed healthy he was a lock to be a productive back with All-Pro potential. Sometimes a can't miss guy misses.

That being said, I think the hypothetical here- another team gets stupid, sacrifices a 2nd rounder for Pizza Lunchables, Browns then trade said pick just to move up- has little to do with Fournettes potential than it does in wasting a resource like that. The Browns still havee too many holes to be letting go of a day 1 pick to move up like that, especially when 12 is a good spot to be in a draft a deep as this one. If a team gets that dumb, you laugh, keep that 2nd rounder and add an useful guy with that pick.
